Yeah I mean I'm not going to argue that anybody is going to have the same sports car feel in an EV as a Porsche Cayman gt4 but I think power is power when you're comparing turbo to battery in a way. Yeah that big smash when the turbo kicking is nice but it's just not linear throttle response. Not to get nerdy about it .... So I think yeah they can have a more powerful electric motor if they have a better more powerful battery. I can see a solid state hybrid being a lot more fun. The torque is instant. But I don't think Ford is designing the hybrid for power boost or fun it's more an MPG thingExactly, I laugh when the plaid guys try and compare it to my gt500. I say ya your car is quick but quick is not the same as fast. Even had one guy try and bring it to the hpde days. He learned real quick that they are two different style cars. Overall the gt500 is just better faster once rolling plus can stop and turn.
If drag racing is your jam then they are an amazing car. Same I fell with hybrid vs ecoboost. If mileage was my jam then sure. But I also prefer the more power and decent mpg I get now. Even if I got the hybrid I’d still do like I do now see how much mpg I could get and also how bad it gets when driving like race car.
