I am curious what sort of effect having AWD on the Maverick will do to MPG. I just did a build on a 25 and it came in at about the same price as my 24. I dont understand why the black out package forces me to go to AWD. My 24 has the black out package, which I like so its impossible to do an actual comparison.

It is about 2 mpg less adding AWD.

What's the point here? You bought a 24 now you're looking at a 25?

Ford hasn’t posted official epa rated MPG yet but 2mpg in city is the expected hit.

I would expect only 1 mpg hit for highway but still an overall 2mpg hit for the total rating.

I was considering a 2025 all wheel drive, 4K, hybrid. Then I built one with my options. XLT 2022 almost loaded(except FX4 and Moon roof) couldn't believe the price! I'm still getting 500+ MPG combined I'll keep mine.

I reset my trip meter every time I fill up. This was my best, pulling into the gas station at zero left. I got a four card straight 😁

And towing isn't bad either with my small camper.

I am in the same boat. I needed a new vehicle at the start of this year and really liked the Maverick. Found one on a dealer lot and picked it up. When I started hearing rumors of the '25 I told myself I would get one unless they updated the infotainment screen and gauge cluster, gave it hybrid AWD with 4k tow, and offered it in Eruption green. I ordered one as soon as the books opened.

I just can't bring myself to pay $34k for the same interior that scratches so easily. I'm cool with the rest of the vehicle being cheap, I just don't want it to look 10 years old after the first year.

Maverick prices have really gone up, but compare to what you can get for the same price. I'm not saying the Maverick is a great deal, but all cars are way overpriced for a variety of reasons.

I realize, especially now, my 2023 with A-plan was a great deal, though at the time comparing to a 2022 it didn't seem as much a deal.

I see people saying this all the time but I only have a couple scratches and those are not really noticeable. But I also take care of my vehicles and have no kids or dogs.

That was the biggest disappointment for me when I sat in one at the auto show this year in New york. I know it's supposedly a cheaper vehicle in for a truck it is but my 2016 VW Golf which cost $24,500 new has an interior that looks like an S-Class and comparison. But I guess I'd get used to it

it does certainly scratch but not awful if you ask me. F-150s also scratch in the similar spots as the Mav. It’s just Ford.

Looked heavily into the 2025. The point of Maverick for me was to spend less in the long run.

Right, I looked heavily into upgrading to a 2025 as well. I can't imagine a bigger money flush. Basically 5-$10k easy, plus any depreciation on my 2023. 2-3k of that is going to be purely wasted money on the transaction fees, not including tax (maybe you can trade in with min tax). And after all that, I'll still have a very similar car. Certainly not a "Maverick" move, and not the move for me. I did a ton of math on it. No way I'm gonna cannibalize my original deal just for AWD.

I am in a completely different place than most people. I have a shortened life expectancy and happen to have an extra $4k a month that I am considering free money to have fun with during the next few years. But I know that is a unique opportunity for me that many will never get.

Not just Ford. I have been in many vehicles and you can find materials in a lot of manufacturers that can scratch easily if you are rough. At least is not full of that soft touch plastic that European manufacturers liked for a while that would all start to peel due to the oils in your skin.

New pricing is kind of wild isn't it? The Maverick now starts at more than what I paid for my optioned XLT.

I thought I read on Ford sight that it was 41 city vs 42 on regular hybrid
