I'd love to see a hybrid Tremor, or at least an FX4 package. I suppose they could use the other half of the under seat bin for another battery pack but they have to run cooling to it too.I think that tried to make the AWD as close to the EB as possible. Maybe some of the Tremor stuff will find its way into the hybrid? That spot for a 2nd battery open still? Electric torque and AWD make for some great low speed off-roading options.

You are confusing the PHEV drive system on that particular vehicle with the HEV AWD system we are discussing around the Maverick. It's not the same.
Which is is. The Lincoln seems to be an odd-one out, most other Fords use mechanical AWD systems. And adding a complete second battery system is more trouble than it's worth; now you need to plumb it for cooling and integrate a daughter battery energy control module. Curious, what makes you think Ford needed to do something to the HF55 to tow 4K?I'm wondering what Ford did to the HF55 to make it able to tow 4000 lbs. I know the hybrid AWD now comes with more cooling, but the specs of the HF55 are identical to the HF45 as far as power output goes (or maybe they derated it for the Maverick AWD) and I'm wondering if the rest of the internals are the same. Would be interesting to know.
