What went wrong with the 2025 Maverick Front!?

I am feeling PTSD symptoms after seeing the Front of the 2025 Maverick which reminded of my reaction to the horrible Lexus SUV grills!! Did Ford hire Lexus desinger to buture the front!?! Whose idea was it to have 2 Metal paddles aim north towards the LED front light?! It looks like it was an after-thought to cover empty holes behind them (see photo).

I am not impressed and I doubt I will

get used to it.

In some ways I've actually gotten used to it and don't think it looks that bad depending on the color of the truck. And that's the really odd thing about it for me. On light color trucks like white, silver beige, etc I think it's an abomination. But on darker colors like black, eruption green, and all of the blue colors it barely stands out to me any more.

Actually, I think the new front looks awful. I like the 2022-2024 much better! The new one is all out of balance and looks like it is chopping off part of the headlights. The grill doesn't look very good either. I'll be keeping my 2024.

Depending on the color, the front end looks not all that great to terrible; the HVAC controls are horrible, and the price increases are absurd.

I *guarantee* that Ford will taut going back to knobs and switches, on the next gen Maverick.

How am I so certain? Because that's the trend that other automakers are following, and the EU is moving automakers in that direction.
