Maverick Monday Episode 28: All the Safety Features on the Ford Maverick
My biggest complaint with my Hybrid Lariat Lux package is that the CP-360 doesn't have front sensers like the CP-360 option has on other Ford models. My friend and I both have scratches on our front bumper covers from not being able to judge our distance when near low objects. I read that the 2025 models with CP-360 will have sensers. Is this true?

Not sure who is spreading that rumor. Nothing has been reveal yet in the way of options and feature changes.

I'm so bad at estimating how close my front end is to something! Sensor on the front would be amazing!

Very true! Thankfully, I usually overestimate the size of the front end and end up getting back in the truck and pulling forward a bit more.

I love my '24 Lariat EcoBoost. My ONLY criticism (and it is a safety feature!) is re: the volume +/- (on the steering wheel) and blower fan +/- buttons. They're flush, non-tactile, and hard to see and find when your eyes are on the road! Some type of raised toggle on the steering wheel would be great for the radio volume buttons, so you could just feel for it with your left thumb on the steering wheel. For the fan blower, these need to have some type of tactile raised edges or again, some type of toggle or a turn wheel that is easier to find.
Just my two cents.
Thanks, Tim ... we enjoy your videos!

Good points. Having more than one vehicle in the family, I have to reacquaint myself to the steering wheel controls every time.

I know we will find out through official means soon, but I'm quite sure that the 2025 model Lariat will have the front sensors because the Spy photos clearly show it:

That's the one feature that I wished my 2023 Lariat had. It wasn't available to option back then...

We will see what equipment will be available or standard soon. Little over a week. Ford hasn't released information on 2025 yet.
