The Maverick seems perfect for my wife, but I'd end up using it, too--there are a few, not many, of my trips that I can't take a classic for, but not enough to justify two daily drivers. (that, and I'll be the one hauling wood, rocks, and transmissions . . .)
Anyway, I went to try one yesterday, and was rather shocked find that the seat had a single up/down motor, rather than front and rear to control tilt. I've been using that since my '89 Crown Victoria to fit into vehicles--tilting the front up and the back down "absorbs" a couple of inches of leg so that my left thigh can fully rest on the seat, rather than supporting part of its own weight.
So is there an option that has both motors for the seats? It's kind of a dealbreaker, as I can't fully extend that leg at any of the available heights. (I once drove the 350 miles from Las Vegas to San Diego in my Miata--*that* hurt!)
Or is there a warranty compatible way so that I can have the inclination, but it can go back to flat for her?
Edit: I notice that the Escape has a 10-way power seat available. A diagram I found for it clearly labels a rear lift motor. But I haven't been able to find a maverick 10-way on Ford's site.
