Most banks have a minimum of $5,000, Ford Credit may be in that ballpark. I doubt you'll get a straight answer directly from them, they would only talk to the dealers on matters like this (I was a Ford salesperson from 1995-2016).

Go ahead and finance for whatever their minimum is (number does not matter), then make a lump sum payment to get the principle to whatever you want it to be. Just make sure to chose terms (36/48/60 months) to get the payment you want.

Yes, that is true.
They may finance less, but will increase the rate.
Our dealership had someone wanting to finance only 8K @ 0%. He kept resisting the 10K min. We called Ford Credit and they said the interest rate would be bumped up if he insisted on financing under the min amount (so I guess it is possible??). He ended up financing the 10K.

I’m just going to pay cash. They won’t honor my farm bureau $500 and still offer the good rates. Thanks everyone.

Just an FYI. My dealer gave me the 0% for 36 months from last year and submitted the $500 Farm Bureau rebate(I joined this year,) when I purchased my truck March 30th.

Ford later denied the Farm Bureau rebate saying I had to be a member last year when the financing was available.

My dealer then submitted a rebate exception(I think that's what they called it) to Ford, and I ended up getting the $500 Farm Bureau Rebate check this week.

YMMV
