Hey guys,

Had to finally make an account to let the new order guys know that there is hope for getting your truck. I just recently ordered a worst case scenario combo XL Hybrid on January 9th 2024 and from what I read on here was dreading the worst regarding delivery date.

Im in BC Canada and ordered through the highest selling dealer in the province. I think that had a huge impact on my order because just last night I got a text from my sales rep letting me know my VIN and scheduled order of March 18th 2024. Double checked ford tracking and confirmed the unreal news.

I truly feel for anyone with an outstanding order as it was my worst nightmare waiting forever for this truck. But after seeing people rudely make comments towards a fellow member who recently ordered a similar truck and asked about delivery times with peple saying it wouldn't be til 2025 etc they're not totally correct.

Happy to be a new member here! Good luck to all the patient people out there

Also want to mention my priority code was 19 on my order so nothing special on that aspect either.

One word to summarize the vastly different experiences: Allocation
Here is a post from a few years ago that explains in depth. I have no idea of the accuracy, but it goes into a lot of detail.

It looks the mega dealer has more allocation. does it mean I can get delivery quicker if order from our local biggest dealer? but in my experience, smaller dealer go with better service.:cautious:

That's a pretty good post from what I know, but some things are different either now or with the Maverick. Dealers now can prioritize down to three on the retail (customer) orders. I don't believe that much interest takes place at the dealer level to get more allocation on the low profit Maverick and if it does, in the past there was none to be had anyway. Things have improved this year, demand may have slowed due to price and interest increases, supply constraints are somewhat improved and there is the third shift. We may be getting closer to normal, but it's really to soon to know.
Edit: I believe current Maverick allocation is based on a formula using previous sales by that dealer of Mavericks, Escapes, and Broncos including Sport.

Go with the dealer that has the most open allocations. Although that is just one factor in dozens other factors that impact the timeline. Read up on previous posts. Lots of great information.
I don't think size matters other than a larger dealer is more likely to have open allocations. I talked to one very large dealer, but they had no open allocation left for 2024. Some hold back allocations for commitments to fleet sales. Ask the dealer lots of questions, if anything doesn't sound right, move on to another.

How did you get the allocation number? I talked with some dealer, but they just say nothing about it. They just want me place order..

Of course every dealer wants the quick sale. You have to ask. Rarely will a dealer volunteer information. If they act like they don't know anything about it, or downplay the importance, find another dealer. I talked with about a dozen dealers, only a fraction are willing to talk about it.
