Has anyone experienced having an unusually loud AC in their Maverick. Happens typically when I first turn on the vehicle. After driving a bit I believe it lets up

I live in AZ. Outside the truck it’s very loud. Inside I don’t notice.

Yes, the compressor is pretty noisey. I don't know why but I think it is normal. It could be because it's a scroll type and it's electric. Just like one on your house if it's a newer, efficient system.
The AC works perfectly and it's been well over 100* here.
The fan is loud too but it does just sound like a fan at high speed.
Not to worry.

I have the same experience, also in AZ. I did not notice the noise when the Temps were in the 90s. Now with Temps above 110 the noise is loud, but not so much from inside the Mav.

Could be worth having more refrigerant added to account for your regions temps. Mav likely has a generic amount that wouldn't account for somewhere with 110+

I'm not sure on the other models or years, but my 23 Lariat has an automatic button that can be pushed 3 times, changing the fan speed through 3 levels while still in automatic mode. Alternatively you can switch out of automatic mode and use the fan up/down switches.

Yeah, top off the fuel till it oozes out the filler also.
That would be stupid, as opposed to checking the charge on your car's ac and seeing if they even added enough to begin with.

My experience is when MAX AIR is activated, it gets really loud. But in Az that isn't an issue for me so you may want to check to see if max AC is turned on when you start your truck. Also, I found of you have a sliding rear window, open it for a few minutes and it will help cool off your interior. I found it sucks out the warm to hot air that is above your shoulders/neck

I just started having the same exact issue about a week ago (loud at first and then lessens as the truck runs). I usually only have the fan speed set to 1 or 2 with the AC on. Checking with Ford Dealer this week and will update.

the heat lately has my truck extra loud. Like I'll remote start it and I'll hear it from 50-75 feet away as I walk up to it.

It is probably running at max output initially then powers back as temps normalize in the cabin. The Prius compressors operate similarly.

Hi there. This A/C fan concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Maverick. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end. To send a private message, just click on our username and select "Start Conversation".
