Anyone else getting grief over the Maverick?

I've posted a few pics of my new Maverick in different posts on Facebook. Almost every time someone will comment on how bad of a vehicle it is, it's garbage, waste of money, blah blah blah. Tesla gets lots of hate too but why the hate on a Maverick lol? It doesn't really bother me but just curious if anyone else hears this BS.

I rarely get hate (and when it do, it seems like it's mostly jealousy). From time to time I get the "When you grow up, you can get a "real" truck (I'm 68 and have a Ram Quad Cam 4x4 and a Tacoma 4-door 4x4). I'd towed a boat, farm equipment and 1800 pounds of lumber. I'm secure in the state of my manhood.

I get it too, they are idiots and don't own one and have no idea what they are talking about, I had an argument at work Friday, about the horrors of an eco-boost engine? Just remember, who's the idiot, the idiot or the one who argues with an idiot. We know what we have!!!!!

Who cares what keyboard warriors say? I get stopped everywhere I go and get compliments from random strangers about my truck.

The first week I had mine I had walked out of fedex and there was a hick in a clapped out Chevy staring me down and he pulls up next to me and starts telling me I look like some kind of " fu**ing English aristocrat c**t" and that I "better not be on the wrong side of the fence". Never seen this guy in my life before this moment and had just barely walked out of the building and got to my car. Not sure what he meant by that, but I politely gave him the bird and drove off lol.

I've had my 2.0 EB for over 2 years and only received positive comments. I once had a F-250 owner call my Maverick a matchbox car.

Like the OP, I live in rural WNC (a half hour from Asheville). I've had a very different experience. But then I'm not on social media. I just meet people in real life. Aside for a few early "is that a Maverick" questions a few years back, nobody around here notices the Maverick, cares about the Maverick, or abuses the Maverick. It just sort of blends into the background. Frankly, Mavericks are everywhere here. People seem to get what they are and why we bought them.

It might help that Mavericks are very popular here - I usually see at least one a day, sometimes several. The neighbor across the road has one.

Just remember that humanoids vote counts as much as yours...... I always said it should be based on IQ. If you get a 150 your vote counts for 1.5. If you're down around 50 like this guy you're referring to, his would be 0.5 But then again I might be some kind of " f*****g aristocratic English c**t" with that line of thinking"
Also, if he's referring to what I think he is with his "wrong side of the fence" comment he might have been fishing for a date? Maybe wanted to get together crack open a couple of cold ones and watch Deliverance....?

Like a lot of others, nothing but compliments after 2+ years. I've never had so many people ask about my 22' EB, AWD, XLT from the church parking lot to the gas station to the local cigar shop. Surprised by the number of guys driving full size trucks who say this may be their next truck.

no one says anything negative about my vehicle. Because I’m not in middle school. I do get compliments on the setup.
