Problem with Mabett Fender Turn signals

If you don’t buy they won’t improve their quality. It’s a double edged sword. They need $$ to improve or create products. They have no incentive to improve given they’re the only seller that offers these sort of lights.

Actually you're wrong. If People keep buying Mabett we'll keep producing garbage. It's customers such as the one posted below. Who is willing to accept crappy quality as status quo, because of price. Just because he or she has the ability to disassemble, repair/seal and reassemble product. They think that it is ok for that product to be on the market.
I agree with "Mdmac's" post above yours. Send the garbage back. The refund comes out of Mabett's Amazon's account. Amazon loses no money
Then file a complaint with Amazon against Mabett. About quality issues, including the same issues on multiple orders.
With enough complaints Amazon will quit stocking Mabett products.

I'm inclined towards it being yet another thing to modify to what I want. I think that is because I'm viewing the maverick as something I'm going to tweak and customize right off the bat. $80 feels cheap for what these are so modifying it into something far better isn't a stretch for me. So many other options for this are going to be triple that easily.

You're absolutely correct.
As long as customers are willing to buy these and correct the problems themselves. Mabett has no incentive to correct the problems themselves and produce a better quality product.
I assure you, if Amazon gets enough complaints about a product that's on their shelves they no longer will carry it.

People who accept this poor quality and do not complain because of the price point are part of the problem.
Sponsor or not Mabett needs to take care of their customers and improve quality.

Has anyone else had problems with the Fender LED/turn signal taking in moisture and then not working. My passenger side has a lot of moisture and now only about 20% of the LED lights up and no longer flashes with turn signal. I will post picture below. Trying for return/replacement with Amazon was useless bought them 6 weeks ago so that window/option is out. Not been able to make contact with anyone from Mabbet. Any help is greatly appreciated. At this time it looks like I am out $90.

Box them up and return to Amazon and get your money back. I have already done this with the set I bought because I had the exact problem. My money was in my account the next day. Here is a picture of mine

You really need to take your own forum signature to heart and open your mind. If someone goes into these with the expectation of modifying them to suite your purpose then guess what, that is perfectly fine. On the other hand if you buy this because its cheap and cool and then are surprised after all the feedback and reviews tell you there is a problem with the seal, its on you.

Ok, so now I can totally understand why these things get moisture inside. They are not built to keep moisture out!! Period!! You don't need water to make these things get moisture inside. Humidity alone will do it. From what I am seeing, they are not manufactored to handle the variations of temperatures.

What is on the left side of our trucks? Something on the passenger side (left side) is drawing heat to this area and causing these things to leak and absorb moisture.

This is just my opinion, but from my own history of buying aftermarket tailights and headlights, when the quality was poor, they always absorbed moisture.

It's not a defect, they're just not sealed water tight. A proper siliconeseal would be best, but the manufacturer looked past this. That being the reason for water intrusion into the housing.

I remeberon my 2012 F150 there was a company that made mirror cap blinker inserts for like 60.00 or 75.00, but they weren't sealed either. Water would always work it's way in and cause the LED chips to fail over time.

You can see in the pics of my 12 & 16 F150s,the 12 have the aftermarket led blinkers on the mirrors, that like these failed. Then on 2015 and later, ford actually added functioning blinker to the OEM mirror.

I contacted Ryan with pictures of the moisture inside. He immediately sent me a new set FedEx 2nd day! This time before installing I sealed all seams with silicone.
