My 2024 XL Hybrid Maverick has about 7,000 miles with no issue, except for the occasional audio system speaker glitch (a total of 3). On a few occasions when I turn on the audio system I cannot hear what I am try to listen to, whether that is radio, USB music, or phone calls.

I have tried to turn off and on the audio system with no luck. The only way I have fixed the issue is by turning off the engine for a while and coming back later. Yesterday this happened again and I was able to record the sound that happen when I adjust the volume. It kind of sounds like some form of Star Wars laser blaster sound (see attached video).

I normally listen to music with in to 10-15 sound level. I don’t normally care for the bass so the is normally set in the negatives.

Has anyone seen or heard of issues like this? I am afraid to take this in to the dealership since they will not be able to reproduce the issue.

I've had this happen a few times as well. I also have a 24' XL. I just do a hard reset on the radio and it will go away. Hoping for an OTA update so I don't have to see the dealer.

II had this occur in my '24 XL the first month I had it. As you can imagine I was none too happy. The next time I used my Mav the problem was gone. I figured if it happened again and didn't correct itself I'd also perform the hard reset.

I know this isn't a permanent fix but you can do a reset.

Push and hold the Power and Forward button to reset the radio.

Yeah this is sadly a normal bug in the system, that has existed since the Maverick was released. Very cheap infotainment system in these things.

I would definitely take it to the dealer just so it's documented and maybe there's a fix for it if not they can get a fixed going for the issue.

I didn't have that sound but I did have a very loud machine gun type noise not too long after I got my 23 Lariat last year. It only did it one time but that glitch is not confined to the Maverick and has been reported in other Fords, including F150's. There was some conjecture at the time that it was a B&O problem but I believe the stock system could do similar.
