I got the instrument panel recall done today and Ford changed the icon for auto hold. I was really attached to that “A” with a circle around it!

That is strange. I’ve always had autohold enabled and have never seen that icon. The A with the circle is auto start/stop. The hand signal is for auto hold.

Does the hybrid have the same auto start/stop system as the EcoBoost??The A with the circle is auto start/stop. The hand signal is for auto hold.
I thought it didn’t, but I’m an idiot.Does the hybrid have auto start/stop?

We’re both right. The A with the circle is auto start/stop. The hand signal is for auto hold.
All good! Thanks for seeing and engaging with my post.Learn something new everyday. Sorry for the confusion as I was speaking ecoboost...lol
Right?! Like, what the hell.I can't believe Ford... went to to the trouble to make two different symbols to distinguish between the two systems.
Yea that's not very budget friendlyI can't believe Ford... went to to the trouble to make two different symbols to distinguish between the two systems.
autohold is only good for slight inclines in stop and go traffic. Then it is so nice to have. But only then. Any other time i like the automatic pull forward lifting off the brake.I'll be honest, I'm very much a "get off my lawn" over the autohold. I grew up using the brake to slowly start moving again from a stop and do not like the autohold.
There is a little button you can push to turn it off or on. It comes in pretty handy in a drive thru carwash and when you don't want to stop and start but just kind of slowly ride through. Otherwise I leave it on.I'll be honest, I'm very much a "get off my lawn" over the autohold. I grew up using the brake to slowly start moving again from a stop and do not like the autohold.
