I’m not sure I will use it but perhaps twice a year, the Fourth of July and Veterans’ Day. I now have a means to mount a flag on my Maverick’s tailgate. Other mounts I have seen commonly clamp to the truck bed's side rail and interfere with a bed cover. This one extends from the side of the tailgate opening rearward without interfering with closing the tailgate. Because I’m a member of Amazon’s customer blind review program, the cost to me for this flag mount was only about $7.00. That made it hard to pass by.

If I did that in my area my truck would get demolished. I posted the flag a few months ago on my community Facebook page, not only did I get sworn at but the moderator deleted my post saying it was disrespectful.

That 'cuz you're in a commie state and it 'aint a commie flag. At least in Virginia people have some respect for flag considering we have Quantico and the Pentagon. We're plenty liberal too.

I don’t think that living as a transplant in Alabama to be close to the grandkids I will run into the same problem. What is acceptable here at times exceeds my own sense of appropriateness. I am just as likely to fly an Army service flag or one with the Ranger Tab insignia as anything else to avoid political overtones.

I so miss the days I could salute, and display our flag without declaring myself loyal to one political party or the other.

Unfreakingbelievable. I suppose all would be fine if you flew a Palestinian flag.

I actually like this one. Never really been into flying flags on my vehicle despite my service connected-ness etc etc, but I do like the simplicity of this one. I'll add it to my list of things I'll probably never buy, but I do like having it there as a good recommendation for others looking for the same thing. Thanks for sharing!

With respect, I assume this was an alternate version of the flag.

Haha no, 50 stars 13 stripes. Too bad most kids don't know what that means.

Thank you for sharing this with the MTC community.

It's hard to tell. Can you tell me if the pole holder is offset enough to allow the door on a truck cap to clear?

I have an A.R.E. V-series truck cap and I am not sure if the door would interfere if there was a flag pole in this holder. If so, then I might have to get one.

It's too bad they don't have a mirror-image version so you can have one on either side.
