Any update on the Grade Assist light?
so I think it’s actually hill descent control. Part of co pilot 360. Can’t find official documentation of what exactly i see anywhere in the manual. But. I also noticed that my review view camera no longer shows which direction the cross traffic is coming from. Ugh. Have emailed the dealer again and waiting for a response.

I have 2 recalls, but I figured I'd wait and see if they come out with any more. Plus, I'm worried the updates will actually screw up my truck that is currently working flawlessly. Let the others go first and work out the bugs. As the saying goes, The second mouse gets the cheese. 😬

The 'bad' 23E09 update programming should be phased out now that Ford has identified the cause (and has a separate recall to address those that received it).
Yes, I saw that and I agree that it ‘should be’ phased out. This is why I am even considering getting any updates right now. Still skeptical…

Either way, thanks for linking it because it is good for others to see. It seems that we are both paying very close attention to how this develops.

Received Safety recall Notice 24S27 / NHTSA Recall 24V293

Notification does state that mobile service is offered by "participating dealers" and to contact my dealer for details. I doubt mine will have this. Notification also stated a possible pick up and delivery option. I did this with the cluster recall and the Lyft fool had the wrong address and nearly delivered me to another house due to a "typo" in the address given by the dealer.

I had to demand, argue and show the idiot my license that clearly had my home address to get me home. He was afraid he was going to have to drive further and lose gas mileage. I had to yell at him as he kept driving that he would be passing my house and thus would be saving gas mileage by going to my address. What an idiot.

This time, I will bring my laptop and lunch money and be prepared for whatever wonderful things I may encounter.

It's very concerning to see multiple owners say their Maverick has had basic features changed and/or Removed due to Recalls.. It really shows you Ford has no clue what they are doing when it comes to ECU, ECM, BCM software. If one person is having problems with hill descent control being removed after the recalls, Likely many more will experience that same issue. It is SAD that I trust driving my Maverick more with 0 recalls done compared to driving my Maverick with all the up to date recalls completed.

My maverick was a dream for the first 18k miles. Then came the wave of software recall updates and I've had the engine lose power twice already and issues with Start/stop.

Ford's software has always been trash, and combine that with a majority of dealerships being incompetent, the experience can be frustrating.

I also lost my Hill Descent Assist on my 2022 hybrid after having recalls 23S27 and 24S27 done. Call the dealer and was told they need the truck for a couple of days so I called Ford customer service and told them what happened and asked if the Hill Assist was even supposed to be on my truck? I advised them that I have no button on my center console for activation of the feature and asked if they could look into it. The agent got a tech involved and was told that I was probably looking at a different icon on the dash and don’t have the option per my window sticker and told to take it to the dealer! I do have Copilot 360 but a check of my window sticker shows no mention of Hill Assist. Not sure what the hell is going on but I’m beginning to think Hill Assist wasn’t supposed to be there in the first place. If anyone has had the same experience I would love to hear your take on it. For now I’ll stand pat and see what comes of this before letting the dealer start messing things up even worse.

I had several recalls performed last week and have not seen the green light since. That said, I still feel its effects on the same hills that it used to light up.

No update?

Truck exploded. Confirmed.
LOL. Nothing to report. Confirming still runs great. I do have hyper flash from my Lasfit leds and need to reach out to them about that. Recalls were true reset which updated the Mav to factory settings like when I drove it off the lot. Only thing I noticed was that I had to re-enable EV Coach but otherwise uneventful (which is a good thing).

My best guess is that the actual firmware (coding) issues have stabilized and now the success of the implementation is a function of the competency of the installation tech that you happen to get.

If anything happens, I will definitely update here but assume no update really means nothing (negative) to report.

Had my 3 performed yesterday and now I do not have Grade Assist functionality on my Hybrid. I messaged the dealer and they say they've not heard of this issue and are asking Ford. I've read that others have encountered a similar issue. Hoping they find a solution, quickly...
Same thing happened to me. The Light does not come on and it does not hold back as well on downgrades

I lost mine as well. Getting tired of every recall creating further issues and no answers form Ford

#FordMotorCompany, feel free to chime in anytime and set the record straight on this issue, seems I’m not the only one who lost their Hill Descent Assist with recent software updates. Your Customer Service folks tried blaming me for looking at the wrong icon on the dash, please!

Got the recall done. Waited about 2 hours. Two days later after going on a 2 hour drive, woke up to a "sleep" message. Update must have drained the battery quite a bit. Haven't had another messages since. I do have a new AGM battery in my truck.
