I had the following three recalls performed this morning at the dealer. Now we wait. I did notice my Lasfits now hyperflash after the recall. I’ll update this post if anything else happens to my Hybrid.

Campaign/NHTSA# 24527/24V293
Issue Date 2024-04-26
Description The body control module bcm current threshold was improperly calibrated and may falsely detect a current overload on one or both taillamp circuits.
Safety Risk This may cause one or both taillamps to stop illuminating during a drive cycle. Taillamp function will recover with a key cycle or manual cycle of the headlamp switch. This issue does not affect the stop lamos including center mount stop lamp or turn signal functions.

Campaign/NHTSA# 24C01/24V140
Issue Date 2024-02-23
Description The instrument panel cluster ipc may not properly illuminate telltales or gauges, regulated by certain fmvss requirements.
Safety Risk Failure to illuminate the cluster display would render safety-related telltales and gauges unreadable in certain conditions. An ipc that does not clearly display critical safety information can increase the risk of a crash.

Campaign/NHTSA# 23C41/23V848
Issue Date 2023-12-15
Description Ford Motor Company Ford recall no. 23C41 certain 2022 2024 model year Ford maverick vehicles turn signal outage detection notification failure
Safety Risk Vehicle operators will not receive the intended increase in flashing rate notification to alert them that a single rear turn signal bulb is out. If the vehicle does not meet fmvss 108 intensity requirements, the vehicle may not alert other road users of an upcoming turn or lane change, which can increase the risk of a crash.

Had my 3 performed yesterday and now I do not have Grade Assist functionality on my Hybrid. I messaged the dealer and they say they've not heard of this issue and are asking Ford. I've read that others have encountered a similar issue. Hoping they find a solution, quickly...

Probably "Hill Start Assist".

Great video detailing the difference between "Auto Hold" and "Hill Start Assist".

Have you already had the 23E09 update performed on your truck? Or was your build not subject to this.

Those were the only three that ever applied to my build. Aside from a broken spare tire winch, my Mav has always driven flawlessly. I hope that continues. 😬

Hopefully they do them in the right order and apply the one that breaks things before they do the one that fixes that one :ROFLMAO:

I just looked closer at our respective build dates and it looks like yours does fall outside of the window for 23E09. Mine is due for the three you had done, plus the 23E09 (and a CV axle).

Please keep us updated if you notice your truck acting differently after the updates.

Thanks for the response!

Maybe I got the name wrong. But when traveling downhill with no foot on the accelerator a little light would come on on the dash showing a downhill truck and it would recharge battery and keep truck from speeding up. That light no longer comes on.

This week they did a recall on last week's recall. Both times they used their mobile unit and came out to my house for the fix.

My dealer contacted me regarding the BCM software update, and I've scheduled the mobile service for next week. However, I'm less than 100% confident that the update won't leave me with some sort of gremlin, so I'm tempted to cancel the service. Have anyone here heard of this update causing issues with the truck?

Have had all the hybrid recalls done via mobile service. No problems. The tech did reset all the TPMS sensors after applying the BCM update. From talking with the techs, it also appears that the BCM updates are cumulative (the BCM is reflashed in full when a recall is applied, not just the updated code). If anyone has heard differently, chime in.

The 'bad' 23E09 update programming should be phased out now that Ford has identified the cause (and has a separate recall to address those that received it).
