Hi All,

I’m brand new here, but have done some searches about Mavericks and appreciate all of your help so far!

I have a Bronco Sport Big Bend and I am going to trade it for a Maverick Tremor because I want the extra height, better approach angle with the front bumper, and advanced 4wd system.

I’ve picked one out and I’m working on price. Dealer is asking $41,495 and it’s a 2023. It’s a special order with Lariat Luxury Package, spray-in Bedliner, and 360+. I’ve talked them down to $39,445 because I can get a comparable 2024 Tremor for the same price. Does that seem about right, or can I go lower? Truck is located in Southern California.

Can I use the window sticker to determine when the truck was delivered? I’d really like to figure out how long it’s been on the lot and use that info to negotiate a better deal.

Finally, anything about the 2024 that I won’t get in the 2023 and might miss?

Thanks!

the opposite actually
the 24 doesn't have the heated windshield wiper park heater and the door entry key pad that the 23 has.
the special order items on the 23 are now standard on the 24.

Check price of insurance as it is based in part on MSRP also Tremor being a lower production run can be pricier due to lack of loss experience with some insurers. It might be a little more also if it did not get the 360 assist pkg which includes the active cruise control among other things. Not sure on the 2024 but the options in lux PKG are different. I sold my Tremor three weeks ago in Texas and Carvana lowered my good for seven days price $2800 by email two days after I sold to CarMax for $1k more. Then CarMax had my Tremor on Web site for $2.00 less than they paid me for it. But that's all local marketing. I called my sales agent at my dealer and was told that it was really quiet that week.

As Fossil pointed out the heated windshield wiper park heater and the door entry keypad on the pillar were deleted for '23. You can still get the battery mounted keypad though it isn't as nice. I suppose one thing I would look at is resale value, that '23 has already lost year so if a '24 is similarly priced it might be the better option $$ wise. The '24 Lariat pretty much has everything standard, but I'm surprised the '23 has a asking price of $41,495, I'm guessing that's not MSRP but has some dealer crap added on. My '24 with a sunroof was $40,940 MSRP. If they are discounting a price that is already jacked up then the real savings are minimal. Tremors unlike Hybrid's aren't hard to find, you can always widen you search.

You will enjoy the Tremor, I love mine.

I was also surprised by the price, but it’s the price from the window sticker. It says it’s a special order and it has a lot of options. I wish the window sticker was more clear about what’s included in the luxury package because I can’t seem to find anything online specifying what was included in the 2023 Lariat Lux package.

Welcome! Yep it seems like 23s are bit better deal. Either way Tremors are sweet trucks. But you wont be getting one for the price I paid. You dont even want to know how low.

It's hard to compare a '23 and '24 Lariat Tremor sticker because of how the packaging changed. Just about everything is standard, the Lux package, 360+, spray in bedliner, remote start. They removed the Tremor appearance package for '24 so now the Tremor Off Road Package is $3495, the '23 sticker you have is $4490 which is the Tremor Off Road Package and Tremor Appearance Package as well. The difference being Appearance Package came with a Carbonized Gray painted roof and mirror caps. There is is . There wasn't a big take rate for the Tremor Appearance Package so they dropped it for '24. Of course if you get a Carbonized Gray Tremor like I have you already have a Carbonized Gray roof 😁

There is a $995 difference in packaging which is exactly offset by my sunroof at $995 and there is also $180 for splash guards. Without seeing your whole sticker I'm just not sure where the other $$ are going on the '23. The base price on mine is $34855.00, 4490.00 of options (Tremor Package and sunroof) and 1595.00 D&D for a total of $40940.00

You get less on the 2024.

But the Tremor is an awesome option and there are lifts available for the Tremor. Flatoutsuspension.net and Hrgoffroad.com are great ones.

I think you've found yourself a great deal. My 2023 Tremor XLT + Lux Pkg (Moonroof, SIBL) in 2024 would cost over $38,300.

So if you're getting a new Lariat for about $1k more? Go for it!

How much did you get for your Tremor? I just got a quote from Carvana for my 23 Tremor with only 7500 miles and the offer was $30K, which obviously I thought was too low.

I got 35k, no sun roof, no 360 assist, no bed liner. Had the package with the additional appearance PKG. Had 800 miles. Carvana bid original 34k lowered to 31,200 7 days later. When got 35k bid from CarMax there was only one maverick in Austin on Web site. Two days later there were 12-14, some "on the way". About half were 2024's. I think the economy is spurring "I need to lower my payments" activity. My insurance on my Tremor was about $70/month more than my 2022 fully loaded first edition hybrid. About same MSRP. (Because of the lack of the 360 assist features probably plus a year newer). Really liked my 23 Tremor kept my 22 XLT LUX Hybrid with 2k miles due to expected 10k lower offer. Did not get offer on it due to number of mavericks "on the way". May sell/trade it for a "can walk away from at next intersection" for a less than $9k something. Welcome to retirement at 81 = Medicare supplement is $335/mo for me plus $331/mo for my wife. Plus $$$ for homeowners.

I feel your pain. I like my Tremor a lot, and thus far it's been problem free; but since the new Ranger arrived, I got the new truck itch.

Yeah, that looks like a decent deal. I'd do the '23 at that price (with those options) for keypad on the door alone.
