Buying A Mav in Mexico

I don't know how I got started on this but I thought I'd share something that I found if it's already been covered I apologize. I was curious and looking on Google Maps at areas in Mexico and noticed a Ford dealership and decided to go to their website to have a look. It appears that you can still get a maverick in Atlas blue which I thought was very interesting. And the starting cost is 689,000 pesos when converted to US dollars it comes up to approximately 40,300. If anyone has any insight on why this vehicle would be almost double what it cost in the US I would like to hear their answer.

ATLAS Blue is still a current color. Do you mean Alto Blue?

Hard to determine what model & equipment you are comparing to. There are $40K+ Mavericks (MSRP) on US dealer lots today.

Did you mean Alto Blue? Atlas Blue is still available everywhere.

Sorry they list two different blues and the atlas blue is like the one that they discontinued for 2023 the Atlas blue that my 2023 is is the darker blue that Ford uses on the f150's

Ah, no problem. They had Velocity Blue the first year and I was bummed they got rid of it as that is the color I wanted.

It said starting at like an XL. it wasn't a specific truck on their lot

That is what the one they call "atlas Blue looks like to me. Thats the color I wanted as well.

the thread isn't about buying a mav in Mexico as an American just to import it. it is about the cost being nearly double than in the US. Where I live Mavericks are on the lot with no markup.
