Ford Has authorized your dealer to replace the mini-spare with a full-size wheel and tire assembly.
Additionally, your dealer will affix a new VIN specitic TREAD label to your

That's why it's important to specify recall number when mentioning recalls! There are similar ones that have different procedures.

24B22 is customer satisfaction program. 200 vehicles affected.

Service procedure:
Replace mini-spare with full-size spare and install new TREAD
label. Includes time to dismantle and properly dispose of the
tire.

Reason:
In the affected vehicles, there was a codification error during assembly, which directed a mini￾spare wheel and tire assembly to be installed instead of a full-size spare wheel and tire
assembly. The mini-spare wheel and tire assembly will not impact safe vehicle operation;
however, the mini-spare wheel and tire assembly has a lower maximum speed rating (55mph vs
70mph) indicated on the sidewall of the tire.

What does your sticker inside the driver door say? Does it correctly indicate the size of the spare?

According to the sticker, it shows it having a smaller tire...a T155.

No I didn't order my truck, I happen to be looking at trucks the day this one came in and the guy that ordered it, refused it so I bought it.

I just looked and that is the size of the actual spare, I knew it was small but I wasn't sure the exact size.

Called my local dealership (Korf in Sterling CO, the ones that wanted 1K down to order, no refund, so I bought it elsewhere) to take care of 24B22. I thought they would just order the tire and wheel, and when it comes in call me, make an appointment, and install. LOL no, I had to make an appointment 10 days out just for them to look at the pickup before they order. Lunacy. I have a feeling this will be a long ordeal. I'm telling myself I am in no hurry.

I would have my doubts about that. And evidently there is only a few circumstances where they are actually going to replace it..I still have to take mine in and find out for sure.

Ok..just found out I AM getting a new full size spare replacement. Just went in and they ordered it plus scheduled all the other recalls. She told me this was the first one she had seen that was actually getting more than just a sticker.

I was driving by a ford dealer today so I stopped to ask about the spare tire issue, I had the bulletin in hand. The first thing the service person asked is, Is there a problem with the spare? Then went on to say this is a one time customer satisfaction option and I may want to save it for a more important issue.

I am soooo confused. lol

Also, I have to make an appointment for them to look at the pickup first before anything can be ordered.

I think this will be an ordeal.
