Mini Spare Tire Recall. Full Size Spare Replacements

I was driving by a ford dealer today so I stopped to ask about the spare tire issue, I had the bulletin in hand. The first thing the service person asked is, Is there a problem with the spare? Then went on to say this is a one time customer satisfaction option and I may want to save it for a more important issue.

I am soooo confused. lol

Also, I have to make an appointment for them to look at the pickup first before anything can be ordered.

I think this will be an ordeal.

I just stopped by and asked about it, so she ordered the tire for me and put me down for all the other recalls I have on it. Said they will call me when it comes in and do the other recalls at that time, but they never had to look at it or anything. I'm still waiting for them to call me because it has been several weeks now..I may call them and make sure they didn't forget. Lol

So I dropped my truck off at the dealer today before I went to work and about the time I got off work they called me to tell me it's ready. I got all the recalls done and got my new full-size spare..well almost. It's a 215 60 r17, so I guess it's considered full size. Much better than the one I had.

I wish ford Balanced the full size spare from the factory.

Called my local dealership (Korf in Sterling CO, the ones that wanted 1K down to order, no refund, so I bought it elsewhere) to take care of 24B22. I thought they would just order the tire and wheel, and when it comes in call me, make an appointment, and install. LOL no, I had to make an appointment 10 days out just for them to look at the pickup before they order. Lunacy. I have a feeling this will be a long ordeal. I'm telling myself I am in no hurry.
