Issue - On a small number of trucks, the information on the tire and loading information label may be incorrect. This could lead you to overload the vehicle and/or to overinflate the spare tire. This could lead to poor handling and/or a tire failure.

Notes - This recall only affects certain trucks with the XLT trim level, FX4 package, and 4k trailer tow package.

Risk - Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.

Here's the confusing (to me) part. You have a Tremor, so you do not have a FX4/4K that the recall posted applies to, and there is no Tremor-specific recall I can find. You should not have received a letter.

well...if they're not smart enough to update the specs on the side of a tire then they're also not smart enough to send the right letter to the right customers. Honestly - it's pretty obvious that 'quality' is not job one and that they need to get some group together that verifies and approves any modifications and changes to the product components, as it is now they appear to just be winging it.

As much as I have tried to upload a copy of my letter I ha not been able to, this was copied from the pic I took of it. And my specific recall is not showing up on ntsb website. So I don't actually know if it's accurate or not but I am going to go to my dealer and find out.

Sorry, I thought I read in a previous post of yours that you got a Tremor. Have you looked under your truck, do you have a mini-spare?

It is a small spare..I don't know if there is one that is smaller, so I don't know if it's considered a "mini" but it's much smaller than my regular tires.

22 XL, so not impacted by this, BUT
is the compact spare WHEEL the same size as the other 4. I know the tire is slightly smaller.
I'm on my second truck. First one I ordered the full size, this one was bought used, so I'm trying to figure it out. Thanks

Not a new tire, just a label - here is what the letter says

What will Ford and your dealer do?

Included with this letter is a revised VIN specific TREAD label for your vehicle along with installation instructions should you wish to install the label yourself. If you prefer to have your dealer install the new TREAD label, call your dealer and ask for a service date for compliance recall 24C08 to install the TREAD label. Please remember to bring your TREAD label with you to your service appointment.

According to the recall letter they are replacing the tire.

If it is 24C08, I can confirm that it is just the label that is being replaced.
