Kia Homelink mirror installed

I don't really like the fat black border on the kia one. It makes it look cheap IMO. Also the Frameless gives you considerably better visibility in comparison to the stock one or the kia one. I had auto dimming on a different car and actually prefer a manual dimmer switch. Just my opinion though. I do like the kia one a lot and for the price, you can't beat it. and it's a nice upgrade over the stock one.

Fair enough. But I think the frameless one looks like those adhesive backed replacement mirrors that you use to fix a broken mirror.

Bob's mirrors is a good website to buy from. They have the autodimming mirror with compass & v4 Homelink for $40 + additional depending on the harness length you select.

I'm out of the loop about this. What is the special thing about this mirror? I hardly notice mine and really only look at it when necessary. My rear window is tinted so I don't get blinded much. Is there something else this Kia mirror does? Does the Homelink open up my automatic garage door opener? Don't attack me, I truly ain't getting it. Just looking for friendly information.

Yes, you can program it to open up to 3 garage doors/gates. It also has a compass and autodimming.

Looks Great! Just wondering, do you have ACC?, and no problems with the wiring? I have the complete set-up, just wondering if it will mess with the ACC camera if I install it? Thanks!

If you don’t use that wiring, use the light wiring

Congrats. Whatever you used to power the Kia mirror, you can also use to power a dashcam. When I added the KIA mirrors, I put a USB (5 volt) dashcam in my 2023; and a 12 volt one in my wife's 2024.

Where did you get the power supply from? I got a Pelsee mirror dash cam. My dealer says I should buy a different one. Suggested one that sticks to the window. They also said the rear one requires a bracket to mount. One person on youtube mounted it beside the rear slider on the ledge to the right of the latch. He said it was upside down. I figure I could remove the screws and turn it 90 degrees and reinstall the srews.

the shape is similar to the OEM one honestly. See the comparison in the link below. There are Toyota brand ones that look and mount just like the kia one too. The kia one is just cheaper..
