I’d honestly be surprised if that is a production grill. They need that area open for airflow and wouldn’t put a camo screen over for that reason. They don’t want you to see the updated grill yet. I bet that’s a placeholder to protect the radiator while testing as it’s not typical to see that much of it so clearly on a production grill.

If trend continues, Ford will raise prices and de-content 2025 Mavericks. Less for more.

I‘m Medicare eligible and love tech. Not a fan of big screens with soft touch because I believe they encourage distracted driving.

Don’t look for any significant changes for 2025 Mavericks as F150 styling refreshes have always been conservative.

Hope Ford is smarter than Toyota and Mavericks continue as an affordable truck option.

Tacoma for 2024, their least expensive truck when lightly optioned is now $40K plus and sitting on dealer lots looking for buyers.

Tacoma is no longer something I can consider due to stratospheric pricing.

Maverick yes Tacoma no.

Ford just switched all trucks to have the double horizontal ‘bar’ across the middle, I do not think they would get rid of it already. The vertical slates could very well be real, just put the bar over it. The Ford badge is ‘floating’ in space and that camera wire is exposed, the bar cleans that all up.

Can’t wait to have 360° camera, front parking sensors, and the bigger screen. Have all of that in our ‘23 Escape.
this is not correct - the F-150 STX has a “sport grill”, which I particularly love….

I bet this is the same approach for a ST or ST-Line Maverick.

I see a forward facing camera under the front emblem and side cameras on the mirrors.

Looks like it will have 360 cameras.

I just looked that up, I see that, did not know that. Looks like XL’s as well. STX and XL are the two lowest F-150 trim levels. I would have expected a Maverick ST to be a higher trim. Time will tell.

I spy extra steering wheel buttons with red text. Are they moving the drive mode selector? Or is it something else?

That's why I'm convinced it's an ST because it has the Sport Mode button on there like the euro Fiesta and Focus ST's do

But no paddle shifters 😡🤬

Annoys the crap out of me to have a "performance" model with no ability to manually select gears.

Granted we can't really see the steering wheel at a good angle. But they could be there 🤷‍♂️ if not I'll just swap over my Escape steering wheel I just put on my Maverick 😅😅

Not crazy about the vertical grille bars -- reminds me too much of the vehicle I still actual want, the Buick Grand National/GNX.

I was looking at a new F150 yesterday thinking how much nicer it would have been if they had actually used that specific vehicle's front grille/headlamp design for the original Maverick; so now I'm wondering if that might be where the update is actually going, away from the "C" clamp design.

Lurker just chiming in...

Not sure if anyone has pointed it out but the brakes look like the non-brembo mk4 ST brakes as well? These aren't standard on the current vehicle are they?

Or two… They’re starting a new refresh in all of the Ford model to have this similar type of grill. It’s hard for me to think that as much as Ford tries to stay similar across lines of their vehicles that this would be the start of a new grilles in their lineup.
I push back on this, only because the refreshed F-150 already started a new design language as it pretty much ditched the C-clamp style headlights and brought in more Lightning style cues (plus, the pre-refresh Gen 14 F-150 was already a different design than the current Maverick and Gen 6 Ranger). Thus, I was expecting something more akin to the F-150 from the Maverick refresh. Ford does have a tendency to do weird design styles across the line up; like their vehicles aren't similar but also not distinct if you get what I mean.

What would be the difference if it’s on the screen or controlled by knobs? You are still taking your eyes off the road.
Feel. All you have to do it turn a couple notches and you're done. My wife and I were discussing this on a two hour drive and both agreed that touch screen A/C controls are impractical. I even joked about it by constantly changing the A/C settings without looking at them and driving down a winding road.

Also for me, I hate touching the touch screen while driving due to having shaky gorilla-sized hands. I literally have to mount my hand on top of the touchscreen then use my thumb to do what I need to do. I'm always scared I'll get pulled over for distracted driving during one of the few times where I have to actually use the touchscreen while operating the vehicle.
