Ford is coming to my home tomorrow with their mobile truck to install the fix for the tail light problem.
Check it out before they leave!

Bricked actually comes from the shape of a dead smart phone. Originated there.

No need to wait for Ford to contact you in order to get the software update. I have an appointment with my local Ford dealer this coming Monday.
No contact from Ford. But I have an appointment 5/20 for the tail light recall

Another recall, this one for tail lights. https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/ford-recalls-maverick-pickups-us-tail-lights-dark-109822246

Official Details:

The defect: in affected vehicles, the Body Control Module (BCM) may inadvertently deactivate one or both rear tail lights.

The hazards: rear tail lights that fail to illuminate can reduce the vehicle’s visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford Motor Company is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Components: Body Control Module (BCM)

Affected vehicles: select 2022-2024 Ford Maverick models produced at the Hermosillo Assembly Plant between February 3rd, 2021, and March 21st, 2024.

Number of vehicles affected: 242,669

The fix: dealers will update the BCM software, free of charge.

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on May 20th, 2024. The Ford reference number for this recall is 24S24.

Call your dealer and ask about their Mobile Service Dept. I used MSD for the turn signal recall with great results. Already scheduled for BCM reset this Thursday.
Gotta' use the benefits! 😉

I have to get mine done. Haven’t had any issues. Had the last recall done with the tail lights and it caused the LASFIT LED lights to cause hyper flash on the dash. Hopefully this recall clears up the problem the last one caused.
Recall service was done and did not change the dash hyper flash for the turn signals.

Going in tomorrow to get this recall and the turn signal recall taken care of. Has anyone gotten the turn signal one done yet and not had their hybrid break down? Have a camping trip in a few weeks and deciding if I should just wait to fix them but I would like to know my brake lights are working properly before a long road trip.

Had mine repaired today. Took about 30 minutes at the dealership. Everything seemed normal as I drove home.

I have posted about this exact issue a few times where the light assembly just doesn't illuminate and then if you manually switch the lights off then back to auto, they come back on. but during the time when one whole rear light assembly isn't illuminated, the turn and brake signals still work as intended. It sounds like this will be a fix to that! Fingers crossed!!
As I read my recall notice it is for what you are hoping.

Just saw the tail light issue happen to me today. Guess its time to go get some recalls done and find what I need to disable with forscan to disable the hyperflash.

I Understand that its caused because of a resistance issue. I'll be testing to see if adding a light bar powered only off the tail lights can prevent. dont have my hopes up but why not.

Oh, the Lasfit stuff.
To have to be concerned each and every update that your lights
are now going to be jacked because - what - you wanted your brake lights to go on a billionth of a second sooner or you wanted to be that "look at that guy" driving along with your lights brighter - don't get it.

Lasfit lariat here - Wanted an actual back up light that actually produced light and a more robust 3rd brake light. Haven't had any known issues but now avoiding these recalls like the plague -)

Dont get started with the poster you quoted. If you check out every post they make its all Trolling. I am not sure why they are on this site to be honest because it almost always is negative. For the most part, all I see them do is criticize anyone who wants to customize their vehicle. IE...why would you put stickers on your perfectly good windows. Why would you change out your perfectly good steel wheels for a different one. why would you change your perfectly good halogen light bulbs for LEDs, why would you change out the perfectly good antenna for a stubby one... and on and on....

Its all they seem to do is wait for someone to have a new post, then immediately :poop: all over it because they do not like it....that everyone is an idiot for not just leaving the vehicle 100% stock. They see something that triggers them...they have to say something about it.

Everyone here has their own reasons to do what they like to their stuff, and it shouldn't matter to others and I support everyone on here who makes their vehicle their own. I too have the LEDs for various reasons, but the biggest for me was safety. the halogen stock bulbs in full sunlight could barely be seen when brakes were applied. My LEDs can easily be seen on a sunny day in direct sunlight... therefore increasing the odds of being noticed and not rear ended.

Yes- The internet can be mostly annoying at times- Just one argument or S/Talking at a time, sometimes just never ending.

But the 3rd brake light and reverse lights could be replaced with no issues. It's only the brake/ turn signals which need to indicate to the driver they're burnt out.

I got pulled over today by a cop who informed me the rear driver's side light weren't working. Went home and could not duplicate the problem no matter what I did. As a precaution, I removed the Lasfit ver2 I had on there and installed the original factory lights.
