I have posted about this exact issue a few times where the light assembly just doesn't illuminate and then if you manually switch the lights off then back to auto, they come back on. but during the time when one whole rear light assembly isn't illuminated, the turn and brake signals still work as intended. It sounds like this will be a fix to that! Fingers crossed!!

Does anyone currently see their vehicle being affected? Ford.com and NHTSA shows nothing so far for my 23 via VIN #

I ain't getting nothing TOUCHED by my local dealer until I read that Ford has fixed the issue with trucks going into limp mode after this supposed fix. No way, no how. Nope. I'll wait it out. My only vehicle and a crappy local service department, I can't afford to have it bricked.

It’s all I can go by. Your optimism is appreciated.

Check my recalls and I still only have the hyperflash one. I'll keep holding off as long as possible to not get that one fixed.

Ford just sent an email communication on the recalls. They can't even get the font colors correct.

Grey on Black??? C'mon Man! Act like a large multinational company!

was this sent out to everyone, or just those who are affected by the recall...because I have not gotten that email... :-(. I actually hope I am part of this recall as I have this issue and dealership could not replicate the randomness of the assembly not working from time to time. turn off truck and start it back up, and all lights work again....ugh

Well, crap. I will not take my truck in for another software update, if nothing else is wrong. I'll have to disable the Seatbelt chime for the 3rd time. :(

I check my brake lights periodically when I get in the truck & before I open the garage door.

One would hope it also contains the bug fixes for whatever is causing hybrids to go into low power mode or shut off entirely.
I haven't had that, or any of the alleged problems that SW updates are supposed to have fixed, to date, including brake light issues.

I got an email from ford saying I must get the software update to fix the instrument cluster recall. I’m afraid to have a dead
Truck after the recall. So I think I will wait this one out.

someone created a poll a month or two ago, and my recollection is that quite a few hybrid owners who had the recall done have been fine.
