Hi, everybody.
I have started installing a dashcam and I would like to know how to do the hardwiring. I have already studied a little bit.
I want to know if the empty slot is for constant power or if it is ACC power. I could check it using a multimeter, but I just want to double-check it.
The empty slots are noted as 'not used' or 'not used (spare)' in the User's manual. I think 'not used' means it's a dead circuit and 'not used (spare)' is active spare.
Also, I am worried about using the empty slot because someone said using an empty slot could cause a malfunction in your car's computer system while running. So, I asked a question to a Ford technician today, and he told me there is no problem using an empty slot.
So if someone tried to use an empty slot, please share which slot is good for ACC and BAT.
Thanks.
