Can we blame some of this on parking lot standards that allow 8' wide spaces?

Idiot cannot even park straight.
Hey, hey, hey. I can't park straight either no matter how hard I try and I have no clue why. I can parallel park just fine even if there's barely enough room to get the truck in there, but straight in parking, nope.

I purposely parked in no man’s land so I wouldn’t be next to anyone. Plus I got a baby to put in the back seat on the passenger side. Came out and saw this d**k face pulled up as I’m walking to my truck. Had to squeeze in to put the baby in the back seat while he was on the phone texting. I’m so done living with humans. Time to move to Mars.

From when I had my apartment rentals I found my choices were to be a chump or an a$$hole. Yeah, people suck.
I try to park next to a cart corral or an island and leave a lot of room on the drivers side.

Are you blind? Maybe you should OBSERVE how the Maverick is perfectly centered in their parking spot and the RAM has their tire ON THE LINE.
No, not blind. Look closely, and you'll see what I said. The Mav is not "perfectly centered", although very close. Perhaps my statement of "hogging" was a bit much though. And yes, the RAM front tire is "ON THE LINE", but you'll notice the rear tire is pretty much centered. Again, not justifying anything, just making an observation. And the RAM could have and should have, parked elsewhere.

As I've written before, I'm feel bad for my wife's bone spurs in her ankle and foot, but that did allow us to get a permanent handicap placard which we try not to use if her pain is okay but when we get to certain parking lots, grocery stores, stadium lots and such, we definitely use it just because of this topic....And looking at your pic, you parked so the passenger side had more room in the space, and that dude parked over closer to you and crooked...Geeezzzz

Canadians are very polite and would never take up two parking stalls. They park strictly between the lines.
Funny how Canadians say they are polite when 2 eastern Provinces have some of the rudest people I've ever encountered. I cringe when I see Ontario or Quebec plates. I'll agree BC and Alberta folks are wonderfully polite (I used to work with several) but come here to upstate NY for a day or two and I'll bet you'll stop making your statement all inclusive.

Yep, I often wonder if I'm from some other planet and was unknowingly dropped here on earth to observe the human species and if so, when the he!! are they going to get me off this planet.

If you've never heard the term "blood side" it's the side away from the driver because in an accident a driver is most likely to react in a manner to try and protect themselves which means hanging your passengers out to dry.
More cars are likely to hit you from the left than the right. Traffic flows opposite on the left, unless you are in the UK, Australia or one of those odd countries.

I found Toronto to be an incredibly polite city.

I would love to be in that conversation. Sounds like a license to go berserker mode on the Suburban since "it doesn't matter." :devilish:

But, bigger picture: It matters not if it is a car, human, phone, or french fry. If it is not yours, don't **** with it. As you point out, different people assign different levels of worth to different things. The easy answer, especially if you don't know the assigned worth, is to do no harm. Not sure why society in general does not get that.
Yep, Put your feet up on the desk and say it's a desk, it doesn't matter. It's not a person.

I'm glad to hear that. I used to work there and did not have the same experience and it's even worse when I encounter them in the US. Furthermore, I live a mile from the border and ALL my neighbors have the same opinion as I do.

I am also obsessive about avoiding door dings by parking in end spaces or away from other vehicles. There must be a Murphy's Law about what we experience as I've had others find me too.

I find that cars with kids are the worst. The kids fling open the door, oblivious to what they are doing. They are just kids. Kids I want to avoid.

I also find that if a parking lot is crowded and I can't isolate, I look for a high end vehicle to park next to. I also park away from the shopping cart return corral.

Don't get me started on shopping cart etiquette. People are just too damn lazy to put them in a stall.
The main grocery store where I live carries your groceries with you out to your vehicle. They actively try to deter people from taking carts out there. It gets hectic for them during busy times when they are short handed on baggers, but it definitely works. They bring up their special loading carts they use at the registers and load them up then put your cart away. Rosauers. It's rare to ever see a cart in the parking lot.

Happens to me all the time. Idiots are like moths to a flame if they see you parked all by yourself. It is a behavior that I cannot understand. I guess you have to be stupid.
I feel ya. Common sense isn’t common anymore. I’m so done with Vegas drivers
