I like my matte black plasti dipped steelies. They match the trim and look good with the cactus grey.

I was quite fond of steelies on mine, but I picked # 2 (17" carbonized grey) because of my recent upgrade

My Favorites are the 18 BS Outer Banks black/machined wheels. Look the best IMHO. Love these wheels.

There is something about these that make them look so good with the mav.
Gives it a really nice futuristic look without being too out there.

Same wheel came on the First Edition ecoboost models. This pic proves my point about black wheels. Not a great angle of either truck, but you can see what the 18" black painted wheel looks like much more readily than the black smudge that is the FX4/FE wheel.

#5, the 18" optional wheel, of course.

#5 These are sometimes referred to as the 'First Edition' Wheels.

The #6 BAP alloys are this same wheel, except that the machine surfaces and gloss black painted surfaces are all powder coated flat black.

I have the #6 BAP Wheels. I prefer the #5 First Edition Wheels. Going to experiment with sanding down all of the machined surfaces, carefully taping, and then painting the remaining flat black surfaces the carbonate grey of the standard #2 XLT Carbonate Gray wheels...

Or if anyone just wants to trade a set of #5 First Edition Wheels for my #6 BAP Wheels, I'll put the paint supplies away and just be happy as a lark!

yes, the First Edition hybrid models came with them, but the FE ecoboost had the FX4 black wheel.

it's probably not real obvious but my pic from a few replies ago is a first edition ecoboost.

FX4 black wheel, 235/65-17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W. Mine had to go because I didn't want the sunroof (mandatory on FE) and I wanted 4K towing, which was constrained so I skipped it. Got that truck in June 2022 and then in July 2022 the cactus grey truck got scheduled.

Having the FX4 package, that was easy. I chose the 17" black wheels as my favorite. They compliment the truck so well no matter what color. Also, I'm not a fan of two-tone wheels. Since my first Maverick was a standard Lariat and had the 18" machine faced black wheels, I was not the biggest fan of them. It made it look too gaudy and they did not hold up well over time. They very easily scratch, especially the machined faces. The solid black looks the best, especially against my Hot Pepper Red. Also, they're much easier to maintain since the spokes are widely spaced which makes it easy to get brushes through and they don't seem to scratch as easily. And since the Maverick has a lot of black trim, it fits the the theme well. I was contemplating getting number one since that's an option on the FX4 but I didn't feel comfortable spending another $700-800 just on wheels. I'd rather get something standard and I'm glad I didn't.

Curious. I just picked up a set of 4 of these. $925 from levittown ford. They’re sold as bronco sport first edition wheels.

I think much of it depends on the color of the truck. Darker truck, IMO, looks better with some brightness in the wheels, whereas a light colored truck would do well with a darker match.

I am amazed at all of the interest in the BAP wheels. I have a BAP 2023 XLT EB AWD and never cared for the wheels.

I bought ALPHAEQUIPT HALO CUV wheels in all black from Tire Rack since I wanted 17-inch wheels and 245/70-17 all-terrain tires instead of the 18-inch wheels (and limited all-terrain tire options).

The BAP wheels were installed on my wife's Atlas Blue XL Hybrid Maverick. The factory steel wheels will be posted for sale here shortly.

Personally, I like the '4. 18" machined face and black' standard from the Lariat followed by the optional '1. 17" machined face and grey' and ' 17" 'steel look' wheels.
