Ranger wheels on a Maverick???

Hello. I'm new to posting things on forums so please be patient with me. February 16th 2024 I ordered an xl 2.0L awd. I'm not a fan of the steelies and was talking to a buddy about it. He offered to sell me the factory rims off his 99 ranger which are mint and the Goodyears are still in good shape with lots of tread. All for $200. My question is do I need adapters or anything to make the wheels fit, will they already fit or am I wasting my time? This is my very first new vehicle and I'm saving up little by little for accessories and parts so that when it arrives my brother and I can get it done right. Any advice or wisdom anyone would like to impart will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

No, the '99 Ranger wheels won't hack it. You need something more designed for a FWD which even the AWD Mavericks are mostly. Bronco Sports, Escapes, Focus's, some Volvos, Rovers and even the Mach-E will fit. Others too.
Don't try to go smaller than 17 inch as the rear rotors won't fit. Lots of threads here, just do some searches on wheels.

The stock wheels are 5x108 +37 offset, keep those numbers in mind when looking for wheels.
The sticky threads at the top have a lot of good info.

Huge coincidence, I was at my brothers place on Saturday and randomly told him "I'll give you $5 if you guess the person who said this line: "I am Cornholio, TP to my bunghole"
