Anyone tried to crack it and download with permanent free access?

Does your manual have an index. I purchased one and it didn't have one and with almost 5000 pages it was impossible to find the content you needed in a timely matter.

No it does not. Since the one all of have is a PDF the best way is to use the search function but even that can be a timely process.

Agree.
I've never heard of a repair/shop manual be included with anything let alone a vehicle.
In fact many manufacturers go through lengths to limit distribution only to certified service facilities. Haynes and Chilton have built an industry off of providing common sense service instructions to the regular consumer.
I think we may be confusing this with the owners manual?

You are absolutely correct.
In the 80s and '90s.
I either went to the dealership and bought the actual model specific service manual or I went to the auto parts store and bought the generic chilton or Haynes manuals.
