Dorman makes seals just like these only difference is they are black . $3 for two . Reason they break is deterioration or you are over torquing. Just changed mine on a 22 Mav and I torqued for the first time to 20 ftlb. We’ll see how long this one lasts the factory one went 42000 .
I took my Maverick in to have trans , ptu, rdu oil drained & filled. I was going to do myself and bought the ptu oil & rdu oils from a dealer . But decided to have a dealer do it and took the two oils to them . Was told they had done lots of them by the Quik Lane person. Had to sign a work...
Well back again . Still have hesitant/slipping transmission around third gear during first start of day .Dropped it off at McLane Ford Fredericksburg today so they will have it for first thing in the morning . Have read a few other posts on here of these types of issues . Mine has around 31000...
Hey fella have you had any hesitation sifting around third gear when first start of the day ? Mine seems to be repeating this but seems to shift and run fine after driving a while . The engine revs up higher like it’s slipping before going into gear .
I am having an issue of not shifting until rpm is high or slipping in I think third gear when I first drive for the day with my EB AWD . Any suggestions?
Just got through taking out a dead flooded battery and installing an agm as was supposed to be all along if they hadn’t ran out during production. At least they didn’t charge me for it although I did it myself.
Flooded . I guess they were out of the AGM that day . Just read on Ford website AGM batteries are meant for vehicles with start/stop technology as in Maverick. Go figure !
I’ve had my 2022 2.0 Ecoboost about 23 months and battery decided it was retirement day. Anybody else have this issue ? What battery did you install ? Measured voltage with a voltmeter and is at 8.9 VDC. Ford batteries are crap and from what I’ve read have a 12 mo /12000 mi warranty . Walmart...
@Dtex Well no matter how big the dealership is inexperience should not lead to lying and that’s what was done . The tech said the ptu used trans fluid for lubrication. Not sure how much you have researched this but the ptu has its own fluid and it ain’t transmission fluid . No matter how big or...
You are so right. I live in a small town and just finding a repair person is a feat in itself. But one that takes pride in a job well done is on another level. But there are some still out there, just not every where .
I started off working on B0105, 206B, L, L-1, L-3. And progressed into heavy’s such as Bell 205, 212, a little 214ST, 412 mainly because there was plenty of overtime that nobody else wanted. Then as time went on Puma, S-76A, C, C+, C++. All most forgot AS350, 355, AW139, 407, EC135. But the last...
