100% agree with you on that. I'm not sure what they're reason is for the exorbitant cost. It should be a flat fee.

The other option is pay 23.00 for a 72 hour subscription on Motorcraft.com you can save PDFs there. One thing you will find is that the factory manual aint that great LOL

I do all my own work, especially to my vehicles. I don't expect anything from anyone. It's a 10's of thousands dollar investment and they want to charge hundreds more for a manual.

Maybe you need to do some research into right to repair. It's incredibly stupid to not support a service manual being free, especially when it's a .pdf. Now if someone wanted to pay for a paper one? I can see that costing the same price as a Haynes manual - but hundreds of dollars? Ludicrous. I'd even be willing to pay $10 for a .pdf if they needed proof of ownership - which they should not - but it still doesn't change the fact that we should not have to.

There is no good reason why this should not be free. I love how some of you justify the lengths these manufactures go to just to keep people from servicing their own investments. Get the eff outta here with that crap. This is why nothing lasts now days. You BOOMERS should be all for it (how do you like it?). You all complain about things being cheaply made, poorly produced, not well serviced, etc etc "back in my days, customer service was with a smile"... and then you attempt to justify a company withholding a service manual and charging hundreds for it on top of a 10's of thousands of dollar investment so people can't do their own work?

Bish, I live in rural Montana... aint nobody giving me shhhh. I'm a self sufficient OIF/OEF vet that knows where problems lie, and it's with the mentality you have projected on this forum. How's that for service with a smile?

To anyone having issues searching for something specific using cntrl+f or the "find in page" on mobile devices, your first and last results should be table of contents and index hits. No reason to scroll through 500 results when you can find a specific in the index. Also, refer to the user manual for basic stuff, like fluid capacities and such before you look at the service manual.

I am new to the forum, have a 2022 Hybrid Lariat, and am interested in obtaining the Hybrid Service Manual. I'm also not sure how to DM. Anyway, if you're still out there, please advise how I can get one!

Yours sound like one that some sellers on Ebay have been offering - it's all separate PDF's with no index or bookmarks. I bought one early on and ended up sending it back as if was so annoying to find anything. I ended up buying from another seller who had one that had bookmarks and was easily searchable.

edit: the manual I have is for the ecoboost. I am sure there are many similarities to the hybrid, part numbers, etc. so any hybrid owners are welcome to it; just know that its an EB service manual.

Clearly you missed my point which really had nothing to do with the cost long ago. I was using that as an example. The point was that not everything should be free. I'm guessing you're a millennial who expects everything to be done for them and everything should be free to you. Sure it would be nice if it was included for free but I can't see how they should be required to do that. The owners manual for example, yes that should be included with every vehicle.

C'mon we're not going to be rude to each other, plenty of other sites for that.
