Why does my ‘24 XLT hybrid have ( or not have)switches that aren’t in the manual or quick reference guide? The console switch on the right in the photo? It’s not in the symbol index.
And the auto start- stop shut off switch? I read about it in the manual, I know what it looks like.
But it ain’t on my truck.

No auto-start-stop on hybrids. The button on the right is Auto-Hold. When it's on, when you come to a complete stop, you don't need to hold the brake pedal. The truck will keep itself stopped until you press the accelerator.

Yeah, it's in the manual.

For the size of it, the manual is pretty useless. E.g: There is no picture of the centre console for any of the variants. There are even paragraphs in there talking about replacing the diesel fuel filter for crying out loud. And the oil change interval is the same for both engines, which is ridiculous given that the hybrid only runs it half as much and much more gently.

I believe The one on the right holds the brake on a hill so you don't roll backwards when swapping from brake to gas pedal

My favorite thing lol

My favorite stop and go traffic is adaptive cruise on 50mph, with auto-hold on, in std/econ, in LOW and "tap go pedal resume" when auto-hold is engaged. I have to set adaptive to longer following distance as I cannot trust it to actually stop 3ft behind stopped vehicle and stepping on brake disengages the cruise. In practice I will brake 50-60% of time and it's a pain to use resume button. I also fear an update might change how it works so becoming reluctant to use it and seldom are in stop and go situations anyway.
