Hello all
I ordered a 2024 Mav with an OEM tri-fold hard tonneau. Its great, has locking mechanisms which are easy to use, but it leaks badly.
It looks waterproof as it has rubber over the hinges on the tri-fold and weather stripping on the sides.

Has anyone out there experienced this issue? Is this something I can take to my Ford dealer in Shelburne, Ontario?

Any feed back appreciated.

Mine doesn't leak and I live in Squamish, BC - rain capital of the universe. I would take it back to the dealer and have them conduct a water test on it.

I have the same one and it only leaks a tiny bit from the tailgate area since there are openings around that area. It really comes down to how well it is installed.

Hi from just east of you. (New Tecumseth Tottenham/Alliston area).
Yes take it back to the dealer, if ordered with the vehicle or as a dealer installed accessory it is under the 3yr/60000km warranty. It does come down to the techs ability and skills.
I would go with the dealer first and if not satisfactory, try the method from 'stevej ' post.
I have the Hard Rollup from Ford, dealer installed before delivery. There were just a couple of drops at the front at first, but after the felt was replaced, it leaked more.
If I need to keep things perfectly dry , I have 2 large Rubbermaid containers in the bed.

I factory ordered my hard tri-fold with my 2023 Mav also, and it's been great and watertight for over 10k since Sept last year. I'm in Vancouver and travel twice a month up highway 5 to Chase BC in all kinds of weather including heavy rain storms. I also recommend taking it back to your dealership.

I agree with you. Mine only leaks around the tailgate.

Numerous issues with mine.
- water would leak where the bed side plastic molding met. Sealed with RTV
- a screw holding the tie back straps was stripped. Fixed with a threaded insert.
- installed door molding at the tailgate area.
- aluminum rivets on the underside leak and corrode. Had to seal the edge rubber molding on the hinge points on the trifold.
I regret doing the repairs myself and not going in right away to get it checked. Some of the issues are just the way the cover mates with the bed. Sounds like these issues must be fixed sing my purchase in 2022. Others seem happy with the product. Photos attached. Perhaps my experience will help you figure out the leaks.

You didn't say where it leaks. Mine leaked at the tailgate, which was solved by having the dealer move the cover back about 1/2 - 3/4 inch. The OEM cover is a tad bit too short, so it mounted fully forward, the rear weather strip does not engage the tailgate.

Mine did, too.
I fixed it using ideas from this Reddit post:

Hey SteveJ, is the yellow line I drew where you put the silicone putty? What's the product that I circled in Green? Can you re-post your pics without the writing covering over the products you used or are they someone else's pics? The writing makes it hard to see details, thanks

Those pics are by the author of the Reddit post and not from me and I agree the text placement is unfortunate.
Not seeing your pic in the thread, so I'll try to describe.
What I discovered when fixing mine was the OEM installer had cut the rubber seal across the top of the front of the bed a bit too short, which allowed water to drop into the bed around the ends of the seal from the flat area just behind the back window. The multi-ribbed seal was replaced and is a more correct length, so water is now directed properly to the bed side caps or drain channel provided in the hard cover rails.
I packed the side rail gaps with putty just like the author of the Reddit post, but only under the frame of the cover, so as not to be unsightly.

EDIT: Also re-plumbed my cover rail drain tubes to the front corners of the bed. The OEM installer had routed them through a hole in the side of the bed, so now they go through the holes in the front bottom corners which is more direct.
