I personally dont have them but I would venture they are more cosmetic than anything. Yes they may stop some ice from forming on the mirror, but I look at that bottom lip and see the snow having a better opportunity of building up. Gives it a nice little perch to accumulate on.

I like the look that's for sure. You'll probably have to wait for the weather to grant you the rain and/or snow you'll need to test them out. If they can do that, great. If not, they still look cool.

I see two potential issues with them.

1) Do the mirrors still fold inwards, or do the brows contact the glass and prevent fully folding?
2) Does the outer edge affect or reduce the field of view outward and away from the vehicle?

I do think they might help prevent rain/snow on the mirror surface itself, especially with the vehicle in motion, provided they don't hamper function in those two areas potentially worth while. I've seen them offered on AliExpress and other sites, but simply didn't order based on those concerns.

That said, my mirrors are heated and should remain clear, when combined with ceramic coating.

I see what you mean. I was just thinking of the Mid West ICE that we get.
Never mind; I forgot the mirrors are heated. That makes this a Moot point. I can see issues down the road as well; with the possible ice building in between and popping them off. Kinda like ICE in a crack in your driveway forcing it apart.

They do look kinda neat. I have 2 Crown Vic's that do not have heated mirrors and I was thinking all these years that it would be nice if there was a "brow" that would prevent ice build up.

I might get them and test fit. If they are fairly sturdy I might install them. If not they are cheap enough that I could just forgo and donate them to a member here.

I like in Upstate NY, sometime you gotta ice scrape your mirrors. They would pop off in seconds if your scraper got careless.

That's a nice gesture. Alternatively, if you got them from Amazon, you can return them easy enough.

Not every Maverick has the heated mirror feature, so I can see why this might be of interest to others. To be honest, I forgot that I have the heated mirrors. I would purchase just for the look.

Good questions. I have zero Clues about that. But I think I will pull the trigger. If they don't fit good or I just don't like them I can donate them to a member here. Or let them sit in the garage like so many other things I have purchased in the past and never got around to installing.

I have a 5th wheel puck adapter for a 2003 F350 if any one wants it. Oh and a brake controller (Plug and Play) for the same truck. lol

If I end up not liking them Ill hit you up first. Think free and just postage would do it.

I live in the South, so ice isn't really an issue. But they look interesting. Not sure I would get them but I can see the appeal.

You have headed mirrors, so you shouldn't need to worry about snow or ice. If you like them for the look then do it, otherwise they are a waist.

I have them and they do work in keeping the snow off of the mirrors as well as rain. The assembly can still fold in without contact with the window. Mine are held on by 3m tape and the right side came a bit loose when I went through the car wash that has the wet “drapes”. I retaped the brow and now fold the mirror in and it works fine.

PS. Mine glue on under the top of the mirror housing unlike the one shown that wraparound the whole housing. I like that one better. If mine doesn’t stay on I will change. It says $21 for one? I paid much less for both of mine. Maybe it means one “set” but it is not clear.
