Hello. I read through others and did not find this one.

Starting a few weeks back, Sync on my 2023 resets itself every time the trucks is turned off. Reset meaning:
  • Audio resets to FM regardless of last audio setting
  • When you change to Sirius, it shows the unit ID and you have to select a channel (even if you were on a channel before power off)
  • Present nav route is erased as well as all nav history
I have ensured I have the latest software version and automatic updates are set to on. Suggestions? Thanks.

are you getting deep sleep messages in FordPass - remote features disabled?

I’m having similar issues.

I set to night mode and sync keeps resetting to auto.

Sirius presets lose their labels.

Mine does the same thing but loses all the phones that were connected. Have to pair our phones each startup, which I won’t do. Gonna check the Ford Sync page and see if mine is the current version. May need to update software.

UPDATE RESOLVED - Although the truck indicated all of the updates were complete, the sync web page showed one available.
I downloaded it and used a usb drive to update the software. Works as it sould now.

I don't know if the OP is even reading these messages, however if so, give this a shot.

That probably means this is another epic fail on the Sync team.

Late last summer an update was pushed OTA (over the air) to most Sync4 equipped vehicles that would never complete. Unlike Sync3, Sync4 cannot be updated via USB and users are reliant on OTA, or a trip to the dealership.

For months my Bronco was saying 'schedule your update' and 'update in progress' but it never finished. It was extremely annoying. Eventually after several months of this, it went away, but guess what... the system never updated. I checked the versions.

Headbanger, what updated version was it that you downloaded, and was this the sync 3 webpage you were referring to?

https://www.ford.com/support/sync-maps-updates/

Mine says it's version 3.4.22251 and that it's up to date, but I'd swear there' a newer version. Maybe they don't all get the latest version, though?

Jeff, That’s the version I had as well and yep, there is a newer version, ends in 88 I believe. I can verify when I’m on my computer tomorrow morning.

Yes, that’s the website that I logged into and entered my VIN. If you can’t find it, let me know and I’ll drop it on Google Drive and send you a link with the files and instructions. It’s an easy install.

Thank you. I'll try to search out the updated version. (y)

I found the 3.4.23188 file thru a website called Cyanlabs. They have software a person can download to their computer that allows them to download the 3.4.23188 file, place on a USB stick and download to the vehicle.

https://community.cyanlabs.net/t/sync-3-4-23188-feedback-issues/10605

My concern is Ford says my Sync 3 is up to date and doesn't offer me this updated file. Going this other route seems confusing (atleast to me) and possibly problem causing if done wrong.

I don't have any current Sync 3 issues, so I'm going to leave it alone for now. Had I issues, or Ford offered the file thru their site for some feature enhancement, or even just to stay updated, I'd do it.

Somebody more computer suave than I may be comfortable going the Cyanlabs route, though?

Good luck. :)
