20 Miles to and from work. High humidity 85% this morning 57,8MPG. Normally mid 40's a week ago it rained every day for 3 days and the mileage was up! Might add some good old fashioned water injection!! Anyone else noticing that. Southwest Michigan and our warm winter.

You started by chance with a really full battery and ended with a mostly empty one. I do this every day of the week in dry, wet, warm, cool, hot conditions.

It's battery related, not humidity related.

What's your technique for getting a full-charge before setting off for your commute?
Well it's easy to do one direction of travel. Doing it both ways would require a plug-in charger.

Pro Tip:

Always park with a mostly empty battery. The engine has to run to warm up the next day. Might as well recharge (do useful work) while warming up.

And it only recharges to 40% on a hot engine (unless you are going downhill or braking). Will recharge to 60% + on a cold engine if you are just idling.

Farmers have known from the first single cylinder John Deere, the engines run better at night in the summer. Cooler, more dense air (natures turbo boost?) and more humidity made the difference. Nothing like the sound of a "Johnny popper" 2 or three miles away pulling a plow!
Not so much today. Multi cylinder engines and no-till farming.

How do you know what the battery charge level is? 23 Hybrid XLT

In the XL, if you're using the EV Coach screen, the longer the blue bar is, the greater the HV battery charge is at any given time.

IIRC, the min/max charge is ~30-70% or so. Charging/discharging outside that range shortens overall battery lifetime. Same for other Lithium-ion batteries, like your mobile phone.

Humid air is actually less dense FWIW
