When the Maverick was released back in late 2021 there was a lot discussion on this forum about features like SiriusXM and push button start only being available on the Lariat. It was widely believed it was due to the global chip shortage. I'll bet that when the Maverick gets it's first mild refresh in the next couple of years they'll probably add some more options like SiriusXM to the XLT.

Sat radio cuts out up here due to lower horizon satellites and mountains. . Never paid for it only take the free trials and that is enough for me.

Not to mention cheaper because there's no need for a dedicated subscription for the vehicle. We have Sirius/XM in my wife's car and use the app that the subscription includes all the time in the house, Maverick and even other vehicles that have AA or Carplay.
Yes, I can listen on the app while the wife is listening in the car, so having 2 active users is not a problem

I've also seen what a dongle can do. Also the waze app. I just think it's crazy that the truck doesn't come with a satellite radio. However, I hate to complain because I'm really pleased with the truck.

Sirius is an easy fix, but I do miss the push button start!

When I first got my XLT I was equally puzzled with the missing radio features, now that I have gotten used to having CarPlay as a primary, I believe it to be a much better solution.

So happy XLT has regular key instead of push button start. So much better.
