I Have a 24 XLT and I absolutely love my Baby Ford as My wife calls it but I am only 5’9” - 178 lbs and I find the Drivers seat to be uncomfortable even with padded seat Covers ? Is it just me or .

I have had some health issues recently and one of them caused massive weight loss including muscle loss. It became painful to sit for extended periods of time especially in a lot of vehicle. That is the main reason I got the Maverick since the seat is at a level I don't need to drop down to nor high enough to require me to climb in. I am about 5'8" currently and down to 165. These seats have been great. Maybe you just have it adjusted wrong.

Ergonomics are so highly individual that it's almost impossible for two people to have the same experience. We're the same height and similar weight, and I love the Maverick XLT seats. I have SI and lumbar issues, and the Maverick is the most comfy seat in ages.

If you have adjustable lumbar, you might adjust those. Also, believe it or not - the steering wheel position might affect your seat comfort - because it drives your seat posture.

If you do some Googling, there are some resources on the web that, along with a tape measure, will help you set up your seat and wheel in ergonomically correct orientations. From there you can fiddle. I can say as a distance cyclist - a millimeter can make all the difference in the world when you are in the same position for 4+ hours.

It's long a pet peeve of mine that modern computerized cars don't let you enter your body measurements and automatically configure seats and wheels to an ideal ergonomic position - seems like a great feature to me (because most of us don't have a clue how to do it - I mean, we don't take ergonomics in school, right?).

For me, the lumbar support is too low. It would feel a lot better if it were 2 or three inches higher. Now, it just feels like it is pushing my butt forward or letting it get too far back. I had to give up motorcycling after 60+ years in the saddle because of lower back pain.
Maybe I just don't have it dialed in yet.

If it was higher it wouldn't be lumbar support

The lack of a separate angle adjuster for the bottom cushion makes it tough for me to dial in the seat. The lack of that adjustment is a massive failure on Ford's part, especially because that was available on my mid trim Accord from 2002...

I'll let you know when I complete my 1,000 km round ski trip next week. No complaints so far.

My discomfort with these seats was solved by raising the rear to take pressure off the back of my legs. other than that all good.
Being tall my default position has always been seat all down, not with these.

A massive failure? A little dramatic don't you think. I'm perfectly happy with the adjustability. You might not like it, okay, cool. But don't speak for the rest of the world with "massive"
