My Mav is now built only 2 months after submitting the order- much quicker than the 4-6 months I was originally quoted!
Downside, I just got updated insurance premiums for my existing vehicles. Auto premium increases here in Colorado are brutal this year. Not sure if I will end up taking delivery given the squeeze on the monthly budget with all the Auto/Home/Utility increases I'm getting notifications for since the new year. Schomp is the only zero-fee Ford dealer in Colorado I know of. If I have to back out, would anyone like me to notify them before I ask the dealer for my deposit back? To be clear, this is *not* an attempt to make any money whatsoever- just a possible courtesy to others.

I would recommend getting quotes from an insurance broker before you back out of the deal.
I did that this year and my insurance premium is about 47% lower than before.

Good luck!

I had a broker run quotes with over 20 carriers back in oct/nov. I have all my insurance bundled with State Farm currently, and he couldn't find a total savings with any other carrier. When you split the home/auto/umbrella etc.. policies you lose multi-line discounts, so the net effect with going with a cheaper individual quote didn't save anything. I have not re-quoted since the rate increases were announced. Crazy thing is I have a clean record and only claim I have on auto or home in the last 10 years is a hit-and-run that was $2,500 to fix my suburban's bumper last year.

The kicker is I reviewed my policies with my agent, and apparently my home insurance coverage is roughly $200k below what it would actually cost to rebuild if it burned down due to incomplete information in their records. Getting that corrected is going to raise my premium by as much as adding the Mav, and that's not including the increases I'm going to see on my policies starting next month.

State Farm is getting really expensive I’m going to change insurance companies as I have been quoted a lot lower rates with the same coverage

I might move from State Farm due to how much money they spend on commercials. Even have them during the Super Bowl, paying Mahomes, Kelce, Reid, etc .... seems like State Farm spends multi-million on commercials ...

We live in Illinois and my state farm agent is a family friend. We added my teenager and the premium obviously went way up. He said in the next month they are restructuring their entire system. It should result in lower premiums for most people with clean records. No specifics yet.... Just FYI.

Hopefully that actually happens. My oldest son will start driving next year and I'm not looking forward to the rate hike. Half the reason I was buying the Maverick was because I planned on letting him drive my Marquis. Colorado in particular was listed in the top 8 for largest premium increases in the report I saw last week. (can't remember where)
