Truck goes 2 days without driving into battery saver and less than a week for deep sleep, all updates done dealer bench tested battery twice and it has passed.
Fist 6 months it took 2 weeks to go to deep sleep ( sometime I travel on business and drive other vehicle)
Not sure if this is what you guys are seeing but it's super annoying
Did you ask the dealer about reseting the BCM (battery control module) for you? Had that done last week it fixed it so far on my truck....

Did you mean the BMS = Battery Management System, the sensor on the battery negative?
BCM = Body Control Module.

Yes and I've done it multiple times myself. I'm certain it's a crap battery but when I drive it to dealer it has charged enough to pass

I will continue to use a battery tender on the OEM battery for another year (unless I lose my patience). Then I will purchase an Interstate AGM battery from Costco (around $170) and reset the BMS. I already reset the BMS but this alone does not correct the excessive battery drain.

Hi Packer Bill, If you are a Greenbay fan, what a tremendous season for your team this year. And you got to "spank" Dallas! Anyway, I can save you some time. If you have the OEM battery, even with the trickle charger installed, the BMS has ruined your stock batteries ability to accept the updated charge specifications. It's going to keep going below what is needed to operate the onboard needs of the Maverick. I would go ahead, get the AGM battery, reset the BMS and move forward. And then you will be one tuff BMF ready to drive with no more of these issues. Just my two-cents.

I have to say, if it wasn't for this forum in Maverick Truck Club, many of us would be going back and forth to the dealer with no real solution. What would have been cool is if Ford Corp would authorize dealers to release a coupon or waver for either an AGM battery or a better battery. Many of us have purchased our own batteries, reset the BMS and gone on with our lives. If Ford had just taken ownership of this it would have helped us so much!! What is upsetting to us all is that we purchased a brand new truck and the battery goes bad. Really? And the response from most dealerships was not acceptable. "Drive more", "Your custom add ons is draining the battery". Making it sound like it's our fault. In a new vehicle? Really?

Another thing to consider is the time and energy the consumer (us) has spent in analysing this and coming up with the fix, when we all know somewhere in corporate they knew the solution. For me, what would have been nice is if I went to the dealer and they told me that it is a production issue with inferior batteries and we can order the correct battery for you, or give we'll give you a coupon for (whatever dollars) to purchase one on your own to save you time. And come back to us if you have problems resetting the BMS.

Just simple, basic, customer service.

Well, I got my "customer service" from you all in here!!Thank you!!
Ford doesn't care. The dealer doesn't care.

I'm on call #17 to Ford customer service in almost two months regarding parts left off my airbag recall. Multiple cases, agents, and still no next steps.

They don't even care about things that could kill their customers, much less batteries not holding charge. 😉

To replace the battery fully charge the new battery with a good smart charger then the resting voltage will be max for the condition the battery is in. Then put it into truck and do the light flash - brake pedal BMS reset. Then with everything off as in the new battery learn procedure lock the truck and do not bother it, leave it locked for the 6 to 8 hours so the bms can learn what it needs to about the battery (reconfigure software for this battery?) It should update to EFB or AGM as well as update the 12v installed date (mentioned by someone in a thread).
Thanks, I have done that a number of times after fully charging the battery.

I have not replaced the battery yet based on the response I give below

Last I checked Costco did not have a battery for our Mavericks. It has been a few months since I’ve checked but I can’t wait until they do.

Sams didn’t have one either.

I want to do AGM but I was warned away from that last year on this forum in another thread.

I had never had an issue using AGM before but I was told some software setting was configured for flooded in the hybrid Maverick.

Two weeks at Costco I saw the Interstate H6 AGM battery (this is the size for the EB Mav) for $169.99. I don't know if this is listed on Costco's website though...

The "22 EB Mav was fitted with the EFB due to the part shortage. When the AGMs became available, the EB Mavs were placed in the engine compartment. The EB Mav was designed to have the AGM due to the high demand of all the electrical components. The Mav is basically a computer on wheels.

Same applies Random, get a different battery. The one in your truck can't handle all the computer and electrical requirements. Eventually, you will trickle charge it to the battery graveyard. We've all been there done that.

Oh I just meant for buying it at Costco. Sorry I was not clear.

No problem. There is another gentleman in here who is very versed in what battery to get. Basically, you want to get one that fits in the hybrid's battery compartment and has the posts in the same positions. If you get an AGM battery, you don't have to worry about a vent. If you get a similar battery like I did, I got one with a vent.

Get one that has at least a 70 minute reserve capacity and at least 470 cranking amps. You will find that most batteries will have this. Your stock hybrid battery wouldn't last in a golf cart.
