Sneak peak , all chromoly.

Get to see what kind of travel can get out of stock pivots without the factory bushings adding to spring rates at top and bottom of travel . In other words just coil over spring and adj dampener.

Plus 3” spacer kit going in this week

Can not wait for a report back on your testing.

The OP builds Trophy Trucks that cost more than some homes. Everyone is quick to judge without knowing a person’s background. He builds parts that are designed to withstand 20 foot jumps at 100 mph. Good thing the critics won’t be doing that in their trucks because they may void their warranty. It’s a shame because I’ve seen people with a lot to offer be driven away because they don’t care to deal with internet experts. Happens all the time unfortunately.

I have studied the dot standards for private use vehicles , calfornia highway patrol laws and dmv for California laws . For a Hand built vehicle in the USA there is no certification process for hoods, bumper covers, trailing arms ,rocker covers ,windshields,a arms ,engine mounts ,seats, door handles , brake components ,engines , shocks etc… if there is a registry I would like to know where. Canada might have some more restriction since the bricklin kit car thing but dot standards are minimal for visual and actual contact patch.
Even windshields are allowed to be lexan, the rules state IF it is glazing material it must be SAFETY glazing material which means plastic lines tempered. If all vehicles had certified parts we would be playing plane prices for parts , trust me you don’t want to get into that , I already am and threir is stainless nylons nuts on a basic piper 4 seater that are 6-8$ a nut ! Not even critical fasteners. And these are certified! Planes!we don’t drive certified cars .Your 70’s f100 - not certified , your Datsun - not certified. Your maverick ( if you have gotten it yet) not certified.
if you are referring to nhstb standards , there is guidelines for manufactures to use to bring the crash data inline with others and meet minimum federal safety standards .But these are just guidelines as each manufacturers crash data is different .some score bad, some good .as long as they pass minimum CRASH standards.
If there was certified everything on vehicles this crash data would be identical across all manufacturers and we would all be driving identical jelly bean crossovers ….
oh wait we are almost to that point in society!
nope not me , I’m personalizing mine !
just not with mud flaps and a personalized cell phone holder , I do it for fun in my driveway this week in the socal sun (starting tomorrow) and off roading some trails of the beautiful southwest ( maybe some Baja too)!
personally I wanted stronger arms with more articulation , so me and my friend made some. I am not forcing you to buy any .
Just sharing the fun , you know car guy stuff!

Not by DOT... certified by manufacturer only. Crash certifications come from NHTSA. EPA certifies emissions. Not every part is certified by the Guberment.

You are correct , I believe only dot materials are reflectors and lights as required by law and contact patch ( wheel , must be stamped , and tires have a stamp with date code as minimum on them )

Not sure about wheels being DOT approved, I know tires have too. Like others have said, some folks on here think they know stuff. Most of the times they just make theirselves look foolish.
Of course they would much rather we all live in a Nanny state, or a HOA.

Same folks will tell you customization will void your warranty on your entire vehicle.

Hell, I'd buy em for the grease zerks lol.

Amazing that manufacturers now days think it's acceptable to remove thing like that for serviceability just because they would rather replace the entire part.

It will be awesome to see what the wheel trave increase will be with these.

Have you had any thoughts about lengthening them or looked into longer axle shafts?

I think there is a lot of performance hidden in this little truck and teasing that out is interesting to me. I realize that's not going to fit everyone's use for their own truck. My hobby is restoring vintage cars and bikes. I need something to haul engines, transmissions and sheet metal when I need it as well as hauling stuff for the usual homeowner tasks. I also want AWD for hunting. Having something that's a nice size and will actually perform well with some tweaking is icing on the cake.
