If Ford keeps cranking out 13K Mavs a month, MSRP discounts will become more common and more than $500 on EBs and hybrids will follow! IMHO...;):)

Of course, lower priced XL's still limited..... Less profit margin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
While that's possible, it's important to remember the special position of this dealership. It was the number one seller of Mavericks in the nation in January 2024 despite the fact that it is not in a major city. Other dealers are not getting the number of allocations or Maverick vehicles as Long McArthur. And Long McArthur moves its vehicles by being competitive on pricing. So, this may well be a special opportunity if you are in the market for a Maverick now.

On FB this morning, I had a dealer in Wichita try to tell me these 36 were just in-bound, not-available vehicles, until I directed him to this thread and shut him down. Of course, his dealership only shows 1 new and 1 used Mav.

No I’m not a dealer at all. I just live in the sticks and can’t get some things to load on my phone.
So you can't get the inventory to load on your phone, so you assume they're 23's? Really?

I verbally agreed twice on a deal with window tint added but when the actual contract came in a few mins later it was much different than what we verbally agreed and had this etching fee which was never verbally mentioned. I haven’t seen a dealer with an etching add on since the early 2000’s. Not sure how many finance guys LM has but in my opinion the one I had sucked cause the deal went down mountain from there cause it only kept getting more expensive with forced add ons or forced financed options and apparently I was special for even getting that deal. I get some finance guys might try to be some dealer superstar stud but no need to be douchey just cause you might have 2-3 people interested in same vehicle. Actual sales people there seem good but then this finance guy ruins it by trying to get his. Just my opinion based on my experience but I’m sure others have had a better experience with them.

Nothing, it's just a fee. There is also a $269 etching fee that is added on in finance that the sales guy failed to mention

Yes between that and the fact a lot of 24 have just started shipping. Don’t act like 24’s have flooded the lots yet. Pretty reasonable assumption

Not sure why someone would get so upset about me not being able to view inventory at clearly his favorite dealer? It’s cool they are lowering prices.
Should force other to do the same. It hasn’t by me. My dealer never went above msrp and sold the for performance vehicles at msrp. Got the raptor r and my gt 500 at msrp

So wait they are under msrp but add on a bunch of trash? So say a dealer is just at msrp or $500 under is it still a deal? Honest question

When I inquired it was couple months ago they had hybrid at 2k over but with mention of livestream it was $1k over and eco was msrp. Livestream didn’t mention their financing was required to get that special but it did mention free shipping if using their finance. I had a pre-approval from my local credit union at 6.3 % and would pick up and pay my own way up there. However, in order to get the 1k over deal I had to go with their financing cause of the kickback they receive and if I wanted it shipped then it was 2k over using their finance. Can’t recall if that rate was 8.9 or 10.2%. I had my farm bureau $500 discount but didn’t matter cause now with that in there it was still same 1k over msrp and still forced to use their finance even though I would pay my way and pick up myself. Then you add in etch fee which I didn’t want or care for plus a high doc fee it just stopped being worth it to me personally.

On the outgoing 23’ model msrp or under with no added fluff is a deal cause they were less expensive. On 24’ model higher than 23’ pricing then msrp or $500 under with no fluff added to me personally is not a deal so added in fluff that’s a hard NO for me.

None of this should be a reflection on Tim or Sarah as they do an awesome job with all the info they provide. Only person I had anything against was this finance guy.

So wait they are under msrp but add on a bunch of trash? So say a dealer is just at msrp or $500 under is it still a deal? Honest question

I very much appreciate the information provided by Tim and Sarah. Very helpful to not only to prospective Maverick buyers but to the Ford community as well.

My feedback is I would be very discouraged to buy from any dealership that required fee for mandatory etching.

For buyers in market for Maverick be thorough and take into consideration total cost of purchase. If one of these in stock Mavericks meets your requirements, then go for it. Not waiting has a value.

I'd make the trip to Kansas if one these Maverick was a Ranger Raptor at MSRP. I'd even pay the etch fee.

I agree I’m waiting for my allocation for a ranger raptor also. Seems they keep
Getting pushed back. I’m not the first person in either I’m number two which is fine. I don’t need it. You can tell a lot about a dealer by the last few years. I buy a few a year and used the same dealer for a long time. Then they decide to try and juice me for 15k over for my Rs which we already had a purchase agreement on. So I got it under msrp. Tried to get a raptor and they wanted 15k. I gave them one last chance on my 500 and they want 35k over and had to be ordered the why they wanted it.
So I’ve never returned. If a dealer will treat you right when they certainly don’t have to the will definitely when they have to.
For that reason I don’t chase a few hundred bucks on a vehicle. The fact I can get the good stuff for a fair price is good enough. For the 35k I saved on my 500 that’s a lot of -$500 off sales.

Agreed, these were customer orders and that is how they ordered them. Looking forward to ordering stock where we can choose the configurations that sell the best.
Why do you consider someone "dumb" who chooses not to order 4K if they never tow anything and keep a vehicle long enough that it matters little on resale value???  I am so glad I got my 22 Lariat before I was forced to pay for AWD. I live in an area with no need. Some people could care less about 4K towing and AWD.:)
