Auto dimming mirrors retro fit?

Can I retro fit auto dimming mirrors (rear view ? doors) onto my 23 Maverick Lariat FX4)? Is the wiring there to tap into?

Wiring is Not there for the windshield mounted rearview mirror, however folks have installed auto dimming mirrors from different mfg's (i.e. Kia, etc) there but you will have to run power to it. To my knowledge I haven't seen anyone attempt exterior (door) mirrors to auto dimming if any are even available to fit.

The Kia mirror was popular because it was $25 plus shipping (also has homelink and compass). But we must have snatched them all up- hard to get now.

Indeed. Once it warms up I plan on going to my local pull'n'save and look for one off a wrecked Kia

You can pull the power off the dome light for auto-dimming, homelink, and compass

Not an auto dimming mirror but these help eliminate the blind spot and the 'blue' one reduces glare.

Lots of different vehicles would work, really. The Kia ones (several different models) don't even say Kia on them! The models people were buying are a direct fit to the same mounting button on Maverick.

And I liked mine so much I bought another for my 2000 Miata LOL. Had to take the button off and spend several dollars for the kit to glue a new one on! And I wired both Mav and Miata so the homelink only works with power on (can't open garage from car sitting outside without key).

Is this the correct mirror? It looks like it doesn't have the same stem as my Maverick...

I'm pretty sure all the stems are the same, it looked the same as my Bimmers. I could be wrong, it had been a year+ since I had one of the BMW ones out of the vehicle.

I am using a Kia mirror PN 2T062-ADU01 in my Mav. Super easy install.
