My lane centering is helpful but turns off quickly even when I am holding the steering wheel. MY Hyundai Santa Cruz would stay on for about 120 seconds without holding the wheel. My Mav warns in 15 seconds then beeps in 5 more then turns off the adaptive cruise and applies the brakes. Nearly got rear ended on the interstate when it did that. Sometimes I don't notice the warning in time. Also even if I am holding the wheel I get a warning and have to actually jerk the wheel to make it stop. Is there any way to change that timing or adjust the sensitivity to hands on?

it does not apply the brakes when you get the resume control message.

you can put a weight on the steering wheel. Google it.

factory ACC is not intended to be handsfree.

Comma is, but it has a camera that watches what you're doing, and if you're not looking at the road it shuts off. I have a feeling you would post on the Comma forums to complain about that. 🤣

You got a 15 second warning, 10 second beep and you still didn’t notice. I gotta ask, what are you doing during this time? Did you type that post while driving? Jk.

My Maverick doesn't have that. Just more stuff to break. If I had it, I would probably turn it off. IMHO.

It's called lane centering ASSIST, because it's not intended to do the job for you, it's supposed to help a little if you're distracted for a moment. Mavericks don't have the more advanced features intended to do more of the driving for you - Ford does offer such features in some vehicles, but not the Maverick.

This option is not in the Maverick. The F150 can have it if you order the option.

Indeed. If this is happening something is definitely wrong with the truck.
It just disables the auto steering, cruise control remains set.

I had the radio turned off because I was listening to my ham radio and I did not hear the warning. And no I am in my office typing this. I think I will just keep the lane centering turned off so I can use my cruise control normally.
