I noticed that for the past week the steering wheel icon that is displayed when the adaptive cruise control is on while traveling on certain highways, no longer appears. I am guessing Ford did an update and turned it off so drivers did not think they could drive hands free when it was lit. The lane centering behavior is still the same: It self corrects to center when necessary and puts up a yellow warning (that turns to red)to hold on to the steering wheel if the wheel is not moved every 15 seconds or so.
Does anyone know why this icon no longer appear when in ACC?

Did you accidentally bump the button at the end of the stalk? Most people don't even know it is there.

You have lane centering turned off, and lane keep assist turned on.
  • Lane Centering is two colors: green or white
  • Lane Keep Assist has the yellow and red warnings while it ping-pongs you across the lane with wildly inaccurate corrections

Nope. I knew about the button on the turn signal stalk. But you were close. It was the other button just below the adaptive cruise distance button. / car icon \ that turns the lane centering on and off. Apparently I had accidently hit that button.
Thanks!
