Negative post is to the right of the positive post by the fuse box under hood. Positive post is red. Neg post looks like bolt in the fender
Correct.
And if one doesn't know where the fuse box is under the hood, it's on the Driver's side of the engine compartment.

This is definitely where one is supposed to jump or charge the Maverick Hybrid - not under the back seat. This info is in the owners' manual, both print & .pdf versions.

My garage is not heated and we have had many many hours below zero° F lately. We rarely get this cold and certainly not for this duration. When it's "stupid" cold outside, I put the truck on a battery tender when parked.

I see someone said to check Fordpass. Never knew that. It tells me that the powertrain control module lost communication with the fuel pump control module. All I have to do is reset the Inertia Fuel Shutoff switch. Owner guide should help me with that issue. I think I like having a carburetor better on my old Ford.
Fuel injection is infinitely better than carburetors.

Any good location anywhere EXCEPT THE ACTUAL NEGATIVE BATTERY POST can be used due to the location of the BMS. The Under Hood posts are the easily accessible preferred by most locations to be used. Thanks for pointing out the location of the preferred posts.

would the deep sleep no start be eligible for Ford warranty roadside assistance ? - I do have a jumper but the weather has been brutal -- not 19 anymore

My father, an auto mechanic, always told me that carburetor was a French word meaning "Don't F##K with it." .
We always got great results modding carbs. Q jets were nice and easy. Remove the secondary lockout, and swap a few different sets of secondary jets to see what ran. It would turn a boggy car into a 300' tire burner.

For a short rime, I worked part tie in a gas station, which also did tune ups and repairs. The owner never quite got the hang of carbs, so I got them. Loved quadrajets. Simple and easy. Just get the float level spot on, screw the mix screws clear in and then out (I THINK) 1 1/4 round and go from there.

Once upon a time Ford would go cold weather testing in places it was minus 25-35 F for couple weeks plus. Not anymore. We as consumers are doing there cold weather testing for them

This why I ordered mine with a block heater. It was a $90 dollar option and will pay for itself in the coming winters.

2022 manual page 312 Maintenance Section paragraph Battery Management system and Electrical Accessory Installation.
Also mentioned in threads. Attaching things to the negative post can result in the BMS which is located on the neg post in mis reading the SOC.

JUST GET GROUND ON BODY MAYBE WHERE NEG CABLE IS BOLTED TO BODY. I just use the jump posts under the hood.
I have a trickle charger but it's negative is attached on the body side of the BMS. I also have a wireless battery sensor and it is attached to the positive and negative posts of the battery. I find it hard to believe that Ford can't fix this. Obviously the ten year old computer that operates the truck can't handle it!!
