What'd you do for the mirrors?Picked up some plastic Door handle covers off Ebay and some aerosol from AutomotiveTouchup.com and went to town. I know, and now you know, but the color match is very close and it really cleans it up. Grille Bar will be done this Spring.

I agree, that'd be the ideal way of doing it but by the time you buy the handles and have them painted and cleared you're going to be several hundred deep. I'll probably try to DIY my own until some of these end up in the scrap yard and I can find them used and already factory painted.

Looks like a great project including a facelift update—not many of those G1’s left anymore! Around here, they either rusted out or were junked for various other reasons. Love ‘em! Just recently found mini “working” 3D plastic models of the 22RE and 5-speed transmissions on a site offering 3D printer-related files. I may try to print them once I get my printing skills on par.
