Color matched door handles/mirrors

Does anyone know if this can be bought, done to XLT? Instead of black it would look better color matched.

I'm thinking the handle for a Lariat is a different material than that for an XLT or XL, right? One is a painted part while the XL or XLT is a molded, black plastic piece. Right? That would make it difficutl to paint.

The XLT Lux package includes the color matched mirror caps. However, it does not include the color matched door handles. So, the only way you're going to get those on an XLT is to either buy a set of Lariat door handles and retrofit them, or try to paint them, but as the other responder said, I am not sure trying to paint those black plastic handles is going to work out long term.

I think the black mirrors look better, especially when you tint the front windows.

No opinion on the handles, they look the same to me either way

Saw someone on one of the Facebook groups show off their XL. They had the handles, mirrors, as well as the black bumper and side trim painted to match the rest. It looked nice. Don't know where he had it done and can't find the page now.

What I was getting at was could you buy color matched mirrors or door handles from Ford?
I figured the mirrors would have a cap or shell, that would snap on that is painted?
Anyone know that?

Yes, I would imagine you can just buy the mirror covers and door handles from the lariat and add them. Contact your dealer to see if they can look up the part numbers and check pricing.
