Perhaps "guaranteed" was an exaggeration. They certainly increase the odds of problems, compared to not having them on the vehicle. Why are most options guaranteed to fk up?

That’s my plan. After it gets out the the shop againtime to trade it in for something else.
Nope, no downloads available for basic system. I follow all the steps, it just says no updates for non-sync.I would do a manual update on your infotainment system.
Make sure you have a USB stick with at least 8GB capacity. Login to Ford.com, make sure your vehicle's VIN is added to your 'Garage' and then from there follow the links to update it. The process is basically the same for Ford Connected Audio (base stereo).
hmm, I wasn't aware of that. what I described is definitely the process for my sync3 system, but it could be that the Ford Connected Audio is over-the-air only. sorry for any bad advice!Nope, no downloads available for basic system. I follow all the steps, it just says no updates for non-sync.
Arcing..... ahhh yes.YES IT DOES MATTER... Battery Safety 101.
Never disconnect the Positive cable first, an accidental contact with any metal, you would have welded it.to what ever you touched...

You have to have exhausted all attempts at service before unreasonably using the lemon law. Clearly there is a faulty connection or something simple wrong on his vehicle, and he won't go to the dealer for warranty work for some weird reason. Take it in to the nearest dealer. If you don't like them, that's a different problem.Lemon law. Use it
The dealer updated mine last month and I received a letter today stating that the gas/air mixture is wrong and will require another computer update at a dealer. For what it’s worth the update is only as good as the guy pounding the keyboard. It could have been fat fingered.Sounds like the computer needs reflashing. Dealer should be able to do that. If not, will need a new module. Sometimes you simply get a bad computer.
Have there been a lot of issues with the app? I’m genuinely asking as I just haven’t seen a lot of folks posting about it and my experiences have honestly been pretty good with it. It works each time I use it, only thing that hasn’t worked is scheduling a service but I think that is more on the dealership I use versus the app. Mine definitely works better than my wife’s app with her Buick! LOLFirst thing I did when I got my truck was get rid of connectivity to the FordPass app.
I'm not saying that is the issue, but I have no interest in letting an unstable application have access to my vehicle any time it wants.
Only Issue I've had since October 23 when I picked mine up was the tail light recall, which my dealer sent someone out to my office and did it while I was at work.
Wow! Your story pizzes me off to the max!I purchased my brand new 2023 Ford Maverick Lariat Tremor four months ago, and I have to admit Im starting to regret my purchase :/
Here is a list of all the issues I’m having with my vehicle
-Vehicle going into accessory mode with engine not starting while pressing the break, and the start button sometimes
-Driver side tail light constantly going out while my lights are set to auto mode
-Infotainment screen frozen with a random location in Michigan, while being stuck at max brightness
-FordPass app not connecting with vehicle and giving an old location from a week ago
-Weird AWD behavior on the interstate (see image below)
-Vehicle not warning me my rear tail lights are out
-My vehicle randomly honking twice as I’m getting out
Now I have to drive an hour out to a dealership that isn’t completely booked up with fords having issues to attempt to get these problems resolved for the second time, just be left with no loaner, rental, or Uber/taxi back home… again

All the issues aside I enjoy driving the maverick, and I hope your maverick treats you well and hopefully they have all the issues fixed when your maverick is built. I’ll be so excited when everything is working again, BUT if all my issues isn’t fixed this month you best believe I’ll put so much dirt on fords name and not recommend any of their products to anyoneWow! Your story pizzes me off to the max!
I would print out about a hundred life sized lemon pictures and string them together, adorn the truck with them and park the truck in a public parking spot close to my nearest ford dealer! Maybe then they will repair your truck, if that's even possible.
GRRR, I hope the ecoboost AWD I ordered doesn't do the same thing!
Thanks for your story, and I hope you get a quick fix on the truck!
